2. DESCRIPTION
Jaiprakash Associates Limited (Cement Division).
(Working since 9th
January , 1991 to present)
Presently working as Deputy General Manager (Finance & Accounts) and posted at
Head Office at Noida (UP) and leading a team of professionals to perform to
achieve best possible results.
The Jaypee Group is a Rs 20,000 crore well diversified infrastructural industrial
conglomerate in India. The Group is a diversified infrastructure conglomerate
with business interests in Engineering & Construction, Cement, Power, Real Estate,
Expressways, Fertilizer, Hospitality, Heathcare, Sports, Information Technology
and Education.
Joined the Organisation in the January 1991 at its Cement Plant in Rewa (M.P).
Worked at Rewa (M.P). Plant from 1991 to 1998

WORK PROFILE AT CORPORATE OFFICE
Finalisation of Accounts and Costing:
i) Preparation of Profit & Loss A/c and Balance Sheet of Head Office on monthly,
quarterly, half yearly and annually basis.
ii)Monthly Costing: Responsible for Costing Run on monthly basis for all cement
plants for valuation of process materials/semi finished goods and finished goods.
(SAP CO Module)
iii)Preparation of Board Data for approval of Cost Audit Reports.
iv) Allocation of common HO expenses pertains to Project under execution on
monthly basis.
v)Scrutiny of trial balance, General Ledger and sub-ledgers.
vi) Preparation of details of related party transactions alongwith other schedule –
VI details.
vii)Interaction with Internal and Statutory Auditors.
viii)Interaction with Cost Auditors and assisting in e-fling of Cost Audit Reports.
ix)Preparation of Tax Audit details.
x) Compliance of Audit Report observations(Statutory,Internal and Cost Auditors).
3. Accounts payable Management (13 Cement Plants): Centralised processing of
vendor payments of various cement plants for Goods, Services & Capital supplies.
Process includes:
i)Checking of Proforma Invoices with Purchase Orders’ terms and conditions.
ii)Controlling advances to suppliers.
iii)Preparing and checking of payment note sheets.
iv)Plant-wise accounting and issuance of cheques.
v)Checking and passing of payment vouchers.
vi)Reconciliation of vendor accounts
vii)Recovery/adjustment of unadjusted advances to suppliers.
viii)Analyzing advance payments to suppliers against which materials are yet to be
received.
ix)Passing of bills, accounting and payments of service vendors and suppliers for
misc. items.
Statutory dues :
i)Centralised e-payment/deposition of Indirect Taxes (VAT, CST, Entry Tax,
Custom Duty) for all Cement units and companies, for all states and its accounting.
ii)Centralised deposition of Cement Cess to Ministry of Industry on monthly basis
for all cement units and its accounting.
Establishment Accounting:
i)Passing and checking of TA bills of employees.
ii)Payment, deductions and recovery of various advances given to employees from
salary.
4. General Accounting:
i)Accounting of imported Coal and Gypsum purchased in bulk alongwith other cost
such as Custom Duty,Handling charges,Plot Rent etc. at HO and allocation to various
Cement Plants on the basis of material dispatched.
ii)Valuation of Stock at Port of Imported Coal and Gypsum.
iiv)Inter branch/unit reconciliations.
iv)Preparation/compilation of Monthly Expense Budget.
Liasoning with Banks for opening of LCs and BGs and retirement of Foreign
Documents ,and with FIs i.e SIDBI –for Discounting of Bill of
Exchange/Hundies of transportation charges of cement and suppliers of cement
bags.
AT JAYPEE REWA CEMENT PLANT :
A. Job Profile As Sr. Accounts officer and Accounts officer ( Fin. & A/c’s)
Period: from year 1994 to 1998 :–
Finalisation of Accounts including preparation of Profit & Loss A/c and Balance
sheet independently.
Cost Accounting upto the Cost Audit Report and its filing.
Supervision of General Ledger.
MIS and Budgeting
Adequate knowledge of Raw material accounting and Stores accounting including
passing of bills, booking of stores and raw material consumption and valuation of
Inventories and Pay-roll accounting.
Inter Branch Reconciliation
Preparation of Stock Statements, MSOD, QIS Form -I & II for submitting to
Banks and FIs.
Providing necessary information to outside agencies i.e. Govt. Departments.
