Eleven years military experience as a maintenance supervisor and technician, recently promoted to
manager position (Chief Petty Officer). Experienced in the maintenance of B & W type boilers as well as
various pumps to include Westinghouse and Delaval. Ability to work with diverse groups of people with
a safety first outlook in all situations. Recently completed a summer internship at an oil refinery, tasked

EXPERIENCE
MAY2016 – AUG 2016 Process Engineer Intern, BP Blaine, Washington
Assisted refinery unit engineers in projects aimed to increase efficiency and safe production.
Developed a program in Excel to account for Calcined Coke production, this program allowed for
more accurate accounting for production budgets as well as better production planning.
Worked alongside a team of 11 for the testing and data collection of the refinery wide firefighting
system, this data resulted in the identification of piping sections and valves in need of repair.
Created a hydraulic model for troubleshooting a corrosion inhibitor system, using critical thinking
a solution was developed and submitted for implementation.
MAR 2013 – Present Manager, US Navy Reserve Spokane, Washington
Assists in technical support for six US NavalShipyards, as part of the Navy Reserve Surgemain program.
Manages shop of nine personnel, ensuring all required paperwork and training is complete for
shipyard maintenance.
Aided in the cleaning, overhaul, and rebuilding of life support components following oxygen
clean specifications.
Led the removal, overhaul, and reinstallation of submarine anchor and anchor cable, as well as
the successfuloverhaul of a rammer encoder. Resulting in the shipyard saving $14,658 in costs.
OCT 2005 – FEB 2013 Instructor/Supervisor, US Navy Various Stations
Provided journeyman level mechanical training for over 90 employees annually.
Designated “Master Training Specialist” for the development and revising of various curriculums,
evaluating fellow employees in instructional methods.
Advised in the conversions of four courses to the Authoring Instructional Materials system
ensuring accurate and current curriculum increasing final test averages to 89%.
Led employees in the efficient completion of all maintenance, required for a 600 PSI Fuel-fired
boiler and its steam powered turbines, distilling plants, centrifugal, and reciprocating pumps.
Managed the operation and maintenance of the High/Low Pressure GEECO cryogenic plant and
auxiliary equipment.
