SHELL EXPLORATION AND PRODUCTION COMPANY SEWICKLEY, PA
FACILITIES SMALL PROJECTS DELIVERY ENGINEER, Appalachia Asset MAR 2015–PRESENT
Enforce hazard and operability study (HAZOP) strategy for the Marshlands area, which contribute to "retrofit" project
scope toward reduction of health and safety risk of legacy facilities. Approve bill of materials per project as well as
manage the piping and vessel design selection for installation. Oversaw the abandonment and operations projects with
additional budget of $1.30MM in 2015.
Oversaw all aspects of five shale gas facilities improvements projects, from inception to completion, with
average budget of $310k, which improved 15MMCFD of methane gas production.
Devise facility adjustments, create work scope, and develop piping and instrumentation diagram/drawing, as
well as equipment plot plans.
NEW ORLEANS, LA
OFFSHORE FACILITIES SUPPORT ENGINEER TECHNICAL ASSURANCE LEAD MAR 2014–MAR 2015
Took full accountability in guiding 20 engineers to complete three business/reliability opportunities across the Gulf of
Mexico production portfolio. Supervised contractors on project that digitalized facilities equipment on about 10
production facilities and built the documents into a searchable database. Effectively functioned as Surface Surveillance
Development Team lead periodically, in charge of leading and managing 30 engineers.
KKEYEY HHIGHLIGHTSIGHLIGHTS::
Reduced unit downtime risk of 500 barrels of oil per failure event impact through identification and
replacement efforts on 23 manufacturer-recalled communication cards installed on turbo-machinery.
Lead Gulf of Mexico portfolio-wide RCA data analysis, which resulted to new business plan to accommodate a
proven initiative that would potentially reduce risk of loss of about million barrels of oil production per year.
Launched risk-ranking failure events based on potential safety and production impact, which enabled the
Reliability Team to focus on higher impact issues throughout the Gulf of Mexico.
OFFSHORE FACILITIES SUPPORT ENGINEER (OSE), Ram Powell Tension Leg Platform JUL 2011–FEB 2014
Set strategic direction to production facility maintenance turnaround time and work groups during incident-free efforts.
Accomplished 18 work packages while preventing loss of 2000 barrels by adhering to drilling schedule. Attended five-
year (HAZOP) and imparted knowledge on equipment use and hazard risks. Organized a four-day level II inspection
while evaluating visual API 570 inspection reports for risk identification and work scope for x-ray inspection program.
KKEYEY HHIGHLIGHTSIGHLIGHTS::
Earned the OSE Process Safety Award in 2013 for completing asset non-regulatory cause-and-effect chart and
online device testing database, allowing device testing monitoring on all pressure equipment on platform.

Conceptualized and installed pneumatic plunger pump used to inject xylene into wells with paraffin buildup,
resulting to additional production of 100 oil barrels per day.
Rendered hands-on management to the following initiatives:
Tube in glycol reboiler heat exchanger and new gasket on head installation, reduced asset downtime to
two days
Pump replacement with different-sized pump and same motor to match process conditions
Four field improvement projects with budgets ranging from $250K to $630K
Wrote a local operating procedure for starting compressor.
Contributed field support in commissioning of Solar two-stage C234i centrifugal compressor and 11,900 BHP
turbine engine which boosted platform production by 1500 BEQ/day.
SUBSEA SURVEILLANCE INTERN MAY 2010–AUG 2010
Created flow line fluid flow models used on each subsea field in Gulf of Mexico.
KKEYEY HHIGHLIGHTIGHLIGHT::
Performed comprehensive analysis using PIPESIM flow simulator and tested the stability of the program and
integrated the program to be used by the subsea surveillance team on a daily basis.
SHELL OIL REFINERY MARTINEZ, CA
ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER INTERN MAY 2009–AUG 2009
Set strategic direction to daily operations of naptha charge pump maintenance overhaul and executed pre-overhaul
performance evaluation.
