APPENDICES
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
BED 2/3 Gas field
• I used all available data such as geochemical study, production
performance, and pressure tests to reduce the uncertainties. Three
realizations were built to cover the mean uncertainties, and for each
realization FFD was constricted as managing tool.
• The main out put of this work were: defined the production
optimization strategy, next 2 years drilling activities and issued JG FDP
documentations.
• Current we evaluate the secondary recovery such as water injection or
gas injection to define the optimum development option.
• The other field SHEIBA is oil reservoir, also the FFD model of this
reservoir was built during 2004, and this FFD was used to evaluate and
to define the field development plan.
Obaiyed Field
• Updated the petrophsical data and carried out new permeability
distribution and different gas down to. Obiayed geological model
updated with new data , transferred to MORES.
• PTL (Production to the Limit) workshop had been done for Obaiyed
field with facilitators from PDO Company (OMAN). This workshop is
looking after optimising production. The good thing in such workshop,
the surface engineers is joining subsurface one. Consequently, a lot of
issues concerning the plant and surface facilities have been discussed.
Bed-15A/R"C" Field
• Shared with senior reservoir engineering to carry out a dynamic model
for BED 15 A/R”C”. BED 15 A/R”C” is tidal channel sand stoned, oil
reservoir, wells did not penetrated water zone, reservoir pressure
declined to bubble point after 3 years of production, the reservoir
produced anther 6 years under bubble point, after review all the data
such as: petrophysics, wells performance, geological data, seismic,
recalculated OIIP and this resulted in: extensile of channel, increase net
pay, increase OIIP 2 times, oil expansion main drive mechanism.
Pressure maintenance (water injections) was chosen to increase RF and
production rate.
• Update the petrophysical parameters to evaluate the injection rate,
injection pressure, induced fractures could be happened due to
injection, effect of permeability uncertainty and distance between
injector and producer on production rate and RF.
6 of 9
• Carried out TDT to evaluate the current oil water contact to optimize
the water injection rate.
Petrop hysics
• Preparing programs( open hole cased hole) and discussing these with
all petroleum engineering disciplines, geologists, seismologist and
contractor company; Supervising logging operation on site, checking
calibration of logging tools, quality of the data, submitting a report on
the logging operation with well site quick evaluation, calculate porosity/
hydrocarbon saturation/ fluid distribution, and taking decisions for
coming and proposed runs.
• Preparing conventional and SCAL core analysis programs for; FRF, FRI,
in-situ properties to calculate; n, m, stress porosity and permeability,
relative permeability and capillary pressure to determine saturation
height functions and residual saturation.
• Interpretation of open and cased hole logs started by editing and
correcting all logs for hole washout and mud contents. LOGIC, SHELL
software, usually used to calculate petrophysical parameters such as
porosity, water saturation and permeability those parameters usually
corrected to core data. Interpreted formation pressure data to calculate
original and current (FWL, OGC, communication and depletion) and
submitted petrophysical evaluation report for each well.
• Carried out two integrated petrophysical studies in BED area (oil) and
Obaiyed area (gas). In both studies started by making inventory for all
available data core: data Conventional and SCAL, open and cased hole
logs, production data, petrophysics evaluation reports and previous
studies. The main successful in BED area defended current FWL (using
TDT and PLT campaign) in produced formation and this add room for
anther three wells, increased net pay thickness twos by correction logs
to core data. Obaiyed area study defended the original GWC,
permeability distribution and water saturation that calculated by two
methods: open hole logs and saturation height functions.
• Co-operated with reservoir engineer and production geologist for
building static and dynamic reservoir models. Co-operated with
geologist for geological facieses, and reservoir parameter distribution,
seismologist by editing sonic and density logs. Defended the perforation
intervals, Coach and mentor the less experienced staff in line with the

  • 6. • Ensure that all job requirements are undertaken in a safe, technically ,time and cost effective manner. • [Refer to Appendix for a detailed history of technical experience.] APPENDICES TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE BED 2/3 Gas field • I used all available data such as geochemical study, production performance, and pressure tests to reduce the uncertainties. Three realizations were built to cover the mean uncertainties, and for each realization FFD was constricted as managing tool. • The main out put of this work were: defined the production optimization strategy, next 2 years drilling activities and issued JG FDP documentations. • Current we evaluate the secondary recovery such as water injection or gas injection to define the optimum development option. • The other field SHEIBA is oil reservoir, also the FFD model of this reservoir was built during 2004, and this FFD was used to evaluate and to define the field development plan. Obaiyed Field • Updated the petrophsical data and carried out new permeability distribution and different gas down to. Obiayed geological model updated with new data , transferred to MORES. • PTL (Production to the Limit) workshop had been done for Obaiyed field with facilitators from PDO Company (OMAN). This workshop is looking after optimising production. The good thing in such workshop, the surface engineers is joining subsurface one. Consequently, a lot of issues concerning the plant and surface facilities have been discussed. Bed-15A/R"C" Field • Shared with senior reservoir engineering to carry out a dynamic model for BED 15 A/R”C”. BED 15 A/R”C” is tidal channel sand stoned, oil reservoir, wells did not penetrated water zone, reservoir pressure declined to bubble point after 3 years of production, the reservoir produced anther 6 years under bubble point, after review all the data such as: petrophysics, wells performance, geological data, seismic, recalculated OIIP and this resulted in: extensile of channel, increase net pay, increase OIIP 2 times, oil expansion main drive mechanism. Pressure maintenance (water injections) was chosen to increase RF and production rate. • Update the petrophysical parameters to evaluate the injection rate, injection pressure, induced fractures could be happened due to injection, effect of permeability uncertainty and distance between injector and producer on production rate and RF. 6 of 9
  • 7. • Carried out TDT to evaluate the current oil water contact to optimize the water injection rate. Petrop hysics • Preparing programs( open hole cased hole) and discussing these with all petroleum engineering disciplines, geologists, seismologist and contractor company; Supervising logging operation on site, checking calibration of logging tools, quality of the data, submitting a report on the logging operation with well site quick evaluation, calculate porosity/ hydrocarbon saturation/ fluid distribution, and taking decisions for coming and proposed runs. • Preparing conventional and SCAL core analysis programs for; FRF, FRI, in-situ properties to calculate; n, m, stress porosity and permeability, relative permeability and capillary pressure to determine saturation height functions and residual saturation. • Interpretation of open and cased hole logs started by editing and correcting all logs for hole washout and mud contents. LOGIC, SHELL software, usually used to calculate petrophysical parameters such as porosity, water saturation and permeability those parameters usually corrected to core data. Interpreted formation pressure data to calculate original and current (FWL, OGC, communication and depletion) and submitted petrophysical evaluation report for each well. • Carried out two integrated petrophysical studies in BED area (oil) and Obaiyed area (gas). In both studies started by making inventory for all available data core: data Conventional and SCAL, open and cased hole logs, production data, petrophysics evaluation reports and previous studies. The main successful in BED area defended current FWL (using TDT and PLT campaign) in produced formation and this add room for anther three wells, increased net pay thickness twos by correction logs to core data. Obaiyed area study defended the original GWC, permeability distribution and water saturation that calculated by two methods: open hole logs and saturation height functions. • Co-operated with reservoir engineer and production geologist for building static and dynamic reservoir models. Co-operated with geologist for geological facieses, and reservoir parameter distribution, seismologist by editing sonic and density logs. Defended the perforation intervals, Coach and mentor the less experienced staff in line with the staff development plans. • Undertake petrophysical study work to support and improve reservoir characterization. • Plan and monitor cost-effective logging, coring programs. • Contribute into well proposals preparations and co-ordinate integrated well evaluations Production Technologist • Follow up the well performance to monitor well productivity to keep the well flowing at the optimum conditions. • Build well lift curve model for dynamic model and well production control.
