I am very interested to see your advertisement for the position I am applying for. I have been
seeking just such an opportunity as this, and I think my background and your requirements
may be a good match.
I realized the position you advertised requires a couple years of work experience. Although I
do not have that many years of work experience, I am very interested in pursuing a career in
the field of business administration, advertising, sales and management. I have completed a
wide range of subjects that provide me with a firm base of knowledge and skills relevant to
meet the requirements.
My experience working in retail business for a motorcycle spare parts company had prepared
me for long, irregular work hours and many types of consumer behaviors that I might
encounter in the future. Having taken some IT classes, I am well versed in Microsoft Office
applications that are critical in nowadays professional business environment.
Also in my position as a Personal Assistant Director and one of committee member for the
travel company I worked with before, I learnt a great deal of skills mentioned in the resume
that I believe can be of use in your company. One example was when I am involved in
planning this company’s anniversary party that involves more or less 600 guests, my team and
I have to do everything from scratch. We split ourselves into different sections such as
decorations, foods and beverages, and games and shows which I am assigned into. I am also in-
charge of the backstage during the entire time of the party, my duty was to make sure
everything runs smoothly and in-coordination with the programs.
Last but not least, I am currently working as a Head Unit at Wilmar group who is an Asia’s
leading agribusiness group and I was trusted to be in charge of bulking station and control
eleven (10) staffs in Lombok unit. As Lombok unit was just built approximately 4 years ago, I
was placed to handle everything from the start. I get to experience a completely different
environment compared to my previous workplaces. Different cultures and characters prove to
be quite challenging, yet I managed to overcome it with diligence. I handle 2 commodities;
palm oil, and soya beans. I dived right into the markets and did research on my own to build
customers databases to support my sales and reach targets, which I achieved.
