Experience
Account Executive March 2015-January 2016
FOX 15 KADN Lafayette, Louisiana
As an account executive I developed as an outside salesman. I sought out new clients through
careful research. After initial contact with a potential advertiser I set up a meeting with the
advertising manager or business owner and began a dialogue to discover the business's "pain" or
advertising struggles. From there I would tailor-make a campaign to reach the business' target
audience with advertising designed to overcome the "pain". Making sure FOX was a good fit
with the marketing needs of a business or service was my number one concern as well as
developing a campaign in which the client's needs and ideas of success are met and exceeded.
The bulk of my business consisted of making and maintaining relationships with clients by
giving personal one-on-one consulting.
Case Coordinator November 2014-April 2015
DNA Services of America Lafayette, Louisiana
As a case coordinator for DNA SOA, I was involved in coordinating sample collections from
collection sites and their safe shipping to their respective central lab destinations. Similarly, I
received samples and packed them for further testing at central lab sites. I communicated with
collection sites, labs, and various case managers to ensure fluid action in the delivery of
relationship tests to our clients. I helped ensure accurate reporting of the truth to concerned
parents, attorneys, courts. Best product that can be sold—the truth, peace of mind. My duties
included many clerical duties, supervision, and coordination with an attention-to-detail mindset.
Leasing Agent December 2013-August 2014
Grand Pointe Apartments Lafayette, Louisiana
As a leasing agent, I enjoyed a role as a community manager whose responsibility include
customer service. This customer service included answering lease questions, writing work orders
for maintenance requests, hosting community events, etc. All efforts such efforts were geared
toward the goal of resident retention. Maintaining a person-to-person relationship with residents
aided in making the apartment complex a great and friendly environment for residents to reside,
work and relax. I felt as though the task assigned to me was community building. I freely
enjoyed this task. The other part of my position was a traditional leasing agent. I wrote marketing
via social media, property advertising sites, as well as, communicating community messages and
safety goals via a monthly community newsletter. I sought out potential residents with mixed
media, showed apartment units, discussed property amenities, and showcased the value and
safety of the community. Ultimately, these tasks led to sales closing, receiving a security deposit,
and discussing all community policies and rules, preparing the unit for rental, drafting the lease
and signing that lease with the future resident. Besides rental responsibilities, I performed
various office duties (ordering supplies; scheduling repairs, cleaning, pest control, services;
batching payments; collecting rent; preparing financial statements, move-out statements; etc).
Front Desk Agent/ Night Auditor October 2011-November 2013
The Juliet Hotel, LLC Lafayette, Louisiana
As the chief night auditor I am in charge of guest services and requests. I make reservations
and ensure that guests are safe, comfortable, and are aware of hotel policies, such as non
smoking policies. I am also responsible for reporting credit card earnings for the day to our
banks and financial resources. I keep our accountant and owners aware of our earnings/ losses
for the audit period through email and correspondence. I perform my shift alone and with very
limited guidance from management. I am trusted with the well being of our guests and property
during this time. This has given me a taste for working solo in a managerial role while also being
a part of great team of individuals.
