Fuel Cells are electro chemical devices that convert a fuel's chemical energy directly to electrical energy with high efficiency. With no internal moving parts, fuel cells operate similar to batteries. An important difference is that batteries store energy, while fuel cells can produce electricity continuously as long as fuel and air are supplied. Fuel cells electro chemically combine a fuel (typically hydrogen) and an oxidant without burning, thereby dispensing with the inefficiencies and pollution of traditional energy conversion system. In this project Math lab is used for Green House sustainable Energy system. (Part-II)

RMK 11 Energy Audit Conditional Grant Project;
- Grant by the government to building sector to do energy auditing, in order to identify energy saving potentials.
- Embarked recently under the RMK11 Energy Efficiency Projects (2016 – 2020).
- In general the project component consists of ;
a) Energy Auditing (3 years project starting in 2016 - 2018.)
b) Implementation of the Energy Saving Measures, including Monitoring & Reporting (until 2020).
c) Capacity building & trainings.
Energy audit is a systematic process to understand how and where the energy being used, to explore on how to manage it and identify the energy savings potential.

Understanding the consumption patterns in a working space is important for evaluating the causes of energy wastage and for developing strategies towards specific energy reduction methods. The intent of metering systems in buildings is to provide adequate data that help improve building systems performance. The results of the analysis offer the potential to improve the energy efficiency of the building and reduce the operation costs. Researchers of Polytechnic University of Madrid and American University of Ras Al Khaimah have developed a metering and control system that processes and analyzes the digitalized signals. This system can collect, analyze and manage the electrical consumption in buildings. It is non-intrusive, can be easily deployed in electric boards and sends data to a central base station located away from the metering device. In this article the system is tested in an educational facility with a wide range of uses. The lighting fixtures, power outlets and HVAC devices are analyzed in offices, classrooms and architecture studios. This article concludes that energy audits for longer time periods help building managers understand device profiles, occupant behavior and environmental context.
Optimization of the Building Energy Performance through Dynamic Modeling, Sys...IJERA Editor
The annual energy consumption in the residential and commercial sectors, in India is rising consistently at about 8% and the overall energy consumption in buildings has seen an increase from a low of 14% in the 1970s to nearly 33% in 2004/05. The electricity sector in India had an installed capacity of 254.049 GW as of end of September 2014. The research paper will deal with the modeling and optimization of the building energy performance by means of the application of the dynamic building simulation, the optimization of the energy systems and the verification of the energy consumptions and comfort conditions. An integrated tool is at an early stage of development to optimize the building energy performance to be expressed in terms of total energy use. The goal of the research paper is to optimize the building energy performance through the potential of the passive building technologies and the increase of efficiency of the building system.

Impact of Building Envelope Modification on Energy Performance of High-Rise A...drboon
In residential buildings, providing comfortable living environment for building occupants is a major challenge for architects, engineers and those who involved in the building industry. It is reported that considerable energy is consumed to provide and maintain acceptable indoor conditions for thermal comfort in residential buildings in hot-humid climate. The observable increase in energy consumption is chiefly resulting from the growing use of air conditioning system. There are various energy conservation measures which can be applied to reduce energy consumption and among these measures are passive envelope design measures. This paper addresses the energy performance of selected high-rise apartments in Kuala Lumpur. Energy Plus software is utilized in measuring the performance because of its availability, validity and accuracy. Possible energy savings due to passive envelope design measures integration are investigated. This includes investigating the effect of thermal insulation and glazing type on potential energy savings.

Tap changer optimisation using embedded differential evolutionary programming...journalBEEI
Over-compensation and under-compensation phenomena are two undesirable results in power system compensation. This will be not a good option in power system planning and operation. The non-optimal values of the compensating parameters subjected to a power system have contributed to these phenomena. Thus, a reliable optimization technique is mandatory to alleviate this issue. This paper presents a stochastic optimization technique used to fix the power loss control in a high demand power system due to the load increase, which causes the voltage decay problems leading to current increase and system loss increment. A new optimization technique termed as embedded differential evolutionary programming (EDEP) is proposed, which integrates the traditional differential evolution (DE) and evolutionary programming (EP). Consequently, EDEP was for solving optimizations problem in power system through the tap changer optimizations scheme. Results obtained from this study are significantly superior compared to the traditional EP with implementation on the IEEE 30-bus reliability test system (RTS) for the loss minimization scheme.

STUDY OF EFFECT OF CONDENSING COVER MATERIALS ON THE PERFORMANCE OF A SOLAR S...IAEME Publication
In this work, an attempt has been made to study the effect of condensing cover material on the productivity of single basin solar still. Glass and acrylic sheet of 5 mm thickness were used as a condensing cover. Experiments were conducted on single basin single slope solar still with water depth of 1cm in the basin. Convective and evaporative heat transfer coefficients were calculated for 30 minutes time interval. When the glass is used as condensing cover daily energy and exergy
efficiency were recorded as 36.43% and 2.73%, where as it is recorded as 16.84% and 1.52% when acrylic sheet used as a condensing cover.
