2013-2015 Philips IT Delivery Transformation Office - Process Expert / Program Manager
As Process expert / Program Manager responsible for the set-up and rollout of the Agile Delivery Center,
The Agile Delivery Center is the repository of the way of working of the IT Solutions Delivery department.
Worked with Finance, Procurement and Project Support Office to ensure that IT Delivery and Suppliers
2. deliver a constant level of quality applying Agile & Scaled Agile principles using stable teams, stable
releases, stable testing and flexible scope. I rolled out the Agile Solution Delivery approach in the 3
major IT hubs in US, India and the Netherlands. Installed an internal/external champions network to
further improve the processes and artefacts with stakeholders from Architecture, Infrastructure and
Operations applying a lean approach to continuous improvement.
I created the output based partner contract combining Agile, Output based deliver y and the Lean Agile
concepts. 5 major suppliers were selected whom based upon the contract terms and conditions take care
of the Agile Solution Delivery. The contract caters for a governance structure to further improve the
performance and competitiveness of engagements delivering IT solutions. I executed the global
deployment of the Output Based Partner Contract in cooperation with Finance, Procurement and Legal.
The Scaled Agile concept is supported via the Rally tool and Microsoft Office suite to create program and
project transparency on product backlog (work list) and financials.
2011-2012 Philips IT Applications Program manager / Process Owner Project Management.
As Program manager/Process Owner of the Project Center Approach Accelerators responsible to define
the way we deliver projects (PMI/APMI/Agile) and take out any unrewarded complexity. Added defintions
of Customer Value Prototyping, Test Management, Transition Management, AGILE/SCRUM development
approach and the Output based delivery of projects by Suppliers.
During this period participated in several internal peer reviews / audits worldwide in Philips to improve
successful project delivery.
2009-2011 Philips IT Applications Competence group Project Management Manager.
The competence groups deliver for program/projects and for service operations the right number and
right skilled people at a benchmarked cost. As Manger of the Project management group we delivered
project managers, program managers, service delivery managers, transition managers and applications
change Managers. I managed 300 people in total. Successfully managed the project management group
and achieved high Customer Satisfaction, high Employee Engagement and excellent Delivery of Projects
(on time/on budget).
1998-2008 Several roles with Philips CE / Philips Business Applications Services
I started as SAP PP/MM Consultant in the “Purchasing and Industry” team, became the Supply Chain
Execution team lead and later functioned as Quality Manager (successfully set-up new change
management and project management processes) and moved into the role of Manager of 40 Project
Managers.
Implemented SAP PP/MM modules cross the globe for Philips C onsumer Electronics and Philips Corporate
Technologies. I embedded SoX/ICS, FDA regulatory aspects in the project delivery processes and
organized several process improvement tracks.
1996-1998 Independent SAP Consultant
3. In this period I worked in Europe/US and China as SAP PP/MM Consultant at Philips. I run together with a
colleague successfully our own company until the moment my colleague returned to working for one of
our customers as employee.
1995-1996 SAP Consultant with Atos Origin
The IT department of my previous employer ICI was outsourced to Atos Origin where I became the
Service Delivery Manager for KLM and Shell. We successfully set-up/defined the SLA’s/Contracts and
executed the services according to SLA resulting in great Customer Satisfaction.
1986-1995 Several roles at ICI
ICI is was a British chemical company where I started as assembler programmer for the SAP Application.
I became SAP consultant on R/2 & R/3 after which I was promoted to project manager and successfully
run several projects in England, Germany and Belgium.

Personal profile
Tom is a highly committed and motivated team-player with proven management and leadership skills
with broad experience in complex and dynamic projects, support and maintenance environments. He is
very communicative and focused to deliver high quality services and results in process improvement
tracks.
Characteristic for his approach is his perseverance and self confidence to understand customer deman ds
and to translate this in a tailor made mix of IT-processes, tools and people competencies. He is an
