How I Qualify
• Completed a year of IT and Application Development at
NSCC in April, 2015; also independent studies in database
development for over 4 years
• Prepared to obtain CSTB Certification as a Test Analyst
at the Foundation Level; designing an on-line research
database (personal project) for outsourcing the
programming to students of NSCC; planning quality
assurance for the implementation of this database
• Took Linux, Java, and other application development
courses in college; advanced knowledge of word
processors, spreadsheets, databases, and other programs
• Detail orientated, familiar with the needs of many private
sector and government offices through temporary agency
jobs as an administrative assistant for over 10 years; flexible
and motivated as a self-taught student
• Perform well under pressure; extremely good at
working with people; eager to benefit the team
• Learned new jobs quickly with shorthand (120 wpm);
proven ability taking minutes, booking meetings, and
processing paperwork
• Advanced ability writing and editing documentation;

Relevant Skills
Detail and Analytical Orientation; systemized ways to categorize and summarize research and learning as a self-
taught student. Normalized data into 179 tables for on-line research database. Prepared data in MS Excel for
migration; verified and input alpha-numeric data for tracking and authentication.
Databases; learned SQL, Oracle DDL and DML; designed and altered databases in MS Access. Created on-line
research database in SQL Server. Preparing documentation to outsource programming for research database to be
launched in 2016.
Computer Skills; developed my website at www.heathervincent.ca; used Windows, Linux, Visual Studio, Eclipse, MS
Visio, Toad, Notepad++, and other applications. Helped many office employees with advanced problems in MS Word
and MS Excel.
Technical Communications; wrote instruction manuals for different offices and on advanced functions in MS Word;
