PRODUCTIONPLANNING AND SCHEDULING:
Basis demand plan, production plan will be prepared wherein shift wise area loading/ packing line loading,
capacity leveling will be done.
All the areas shall have to be loaded optimally vis a vis the demand and supply gap shall be minimum.
Before planning all the prerequisite has to be checked like material availability/ documents status/ equipment
status etc.
Planning the batches in campaign so to increase the overall equipment efficiency
MATERIAL PLANNING:

On the basis of demand of the product net requirement of raw materialand packing materials will be
calculated.
Materials are indented on the basis of the calculated requirement.
JIT/ VMI/ Bulk purchasing etc. tools are used during material planning and procurement.
Before the month start needs to ensure 100 % RM/PM availability to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
Follow up with procurement and vendors apropos material delivery.
INVENTORYMANAGEMENT:
Inventory analysis by using various techniques and tools like; ABC analysis, FSN analysis, PARETO analysis
etc.
Identification of Non-moving materials and exploring the possibility to liquidate the same by interplant location
transfer/ code to code transfer/ slitting/ sell off so as to minimize the loss.
Material harmonization.
SAP end user role in:
Creation of purchase requisitions
Maintaining material master data of FG/ SFG/PM/ RM)
Maintain MRP views at various storage location (Plants/ Warehouse/ CFA)
Single level MRP run

PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN AT TORRENT:
Implemented new SAP transaction code YMPC235and report in MM module to get material shortage
against monthly requirements priority wise in close coordination with SAP team whichhelped in
reduction of manual process for calculationof material requirements.
Initiated blanket purchase in case of bulky material( corrugated boxes/ drums) in coordination with
purchase and vendor by providing them the weekly requirements which helped in storage constraints of
warehouse moreover inventory cost
Materi harmonization helped in reducing the no of SKU of corrugated boxes wherein the difference in
specifications between the twoSKU were minimal.
Future Project-Implementation of VMI (vendormanaged inventory) forcorrugated boxes and drums.
Generation of new SAP T- Code is in process “YROL”-Setting the reorder level.

No non-deliverables on account of materials continuously for last 6 months
Reduced inventory of Packing materials from 9 crore to 6.5 crore in 3 months’ time by increasing consumption
of non-moving materials, interplant transfer , code to code transfer,slitting to required sizes, sell off etc.
Successfully created SAP Transaction code YMPC235 in coordination with IT dept. to get material shortages.
