Delaware Academy is an urban school in the Syracuse City School District. During this teaching placement I taught in a
fifth grade inclusive classroom. I developed lesson plans for Math and English Language Arts small groups and whole
group Science lessons. With 98% of the students living on or below the poverty line in a violent neighborhood I saw the
need to create a safe space for students and began a lunch club. I co-taught with three other teachers during this
placement in order to differentiate lessons for the needs of the students.
Fremont Elementary, Syracuse, New York Fall 2015
Fremont Elementary is a suburban school in the East Syracuse Minoa School District. While in this placement I
developed classroom management techniques, taught Science, Social Studies, Math, and Writing. I implemented
Google Classroom and collaborated with teachers on the teaching team to differentiate Google Classroom lessons.

Syracuse Academy of Science is a charter school in the Syracuse City School district. While in this placement I taught
lessons on Math, Science, and Writing. I built up the community in the classroom through small group work with

Work Experience
Syracuse University- Student Guide Fall 2016
As a student guide to American students in London I help them to transition to life in the city. Most of the students have
never been to London, I show them how to use public transport, arrange housing, where their classes are, and
accompany them on tours. My goal is to help students adjust to life in a new country as easily as possible.
YMCA – Various Locations Spring 2015- Summer 2016
Lebanon Valley YMCA: May 2016- August 2016
Campsite Program Director, I planned camp for children at a playground 5 days a week for the month of July. Children
ranged in age from 4-15; on any day I could have 5 children or 30. I had one other support staff and a volunteer and
coordinated with volunteers at the playground. Each day campers completed a craft, activity, group project and played
an organized game that I planned based on that weeks theme.
School Age Childcare Staff, I worked with other staff in the afternoons and evenings to supervise children who were

waiting to be picked up by parents from camp. We organized games and crafts for children who didn’t want to
participate in the ‘free space’ activities.
