Skills & Abilities
BUILDING/ WARRANTY EXPERIENCE
Having sixteen years experience in the home building / realestate industry,I am proficient in every facet of the business due to on the job
training and extensive course work. I became a Certified Builder at and passed the General Contracting exam while employed at John
Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods. This experience facilitated my ability to work seamlessly with the land development teams, production
office, and our corporate office to ensure a smooth building process. This knowledge includes all matters of code and permitting regulations.
My experience in all aspects of homebuilding warranty is second to none.I have been involved in everything from newconstruction first
year warranty to major repair warranties that involve the move-out of customers. These responsibilities included monitoring budget
constraints versus job costs, customer satisfaction, and working closely with all trade partners and subcontractors effectively to ensure
timely job completion.
OPERATIONS/ CUSTOMER RELATONS
As Operations Manager at Elder Bee Homes, I implemented many programs including a policy and procedures manual,a safety program,and
many processes to streamline communication from the office to the field and backto the customer. In my position, I worked closely with
vendors, to assure timely payment and stage complete construction before payments were made or draws were submitted,and customers,
to ensure customer satisfaction through the building processes and in the warranty periods. At both John Wieland Homes and M/I Homes, I
have been rated using customer satisfaction scores. My scores have been some of the top in the division due to my knowledge of the industry
and my personalmission to treat every customer in the most courteous and professional manner.
ADMINISTRATIVE/ HUMAN RELATIONS
My administrative responsibilities have incorporated analyzing and performing all accounting responsibilities. Working with Vendors, I have
established and monitored all Vendor Agreements and Accounts. To increase quality of construction and decrease budgets,I have performed
audits of vendor invoices and made vendor changes as necessary to increase company profitability, conducted interviews with newvendors
to choose products or services based upon price and quality comparisons. Working with various builders,I have facilitated and maintained
schedules for 100+ home construction projects daily, worked closely with 20+ Builders,Project managers,and Assistant Builders, managed
100+ warranty lists as well as structuraljobs while assisting my other co-workers in daily activities such as quality programs, Home Owner
Orientations, and pre-closing walks with the homeowners.
My human resources responsibilities have included: interviewing, hiring, and coaching employees, developing comprehensive training
programs to enhance employee skill-sets, preparing newhire packages for new employees and processing for the corporate office,
conducting yearly employee evaluations, as well as all employment issues related issues as pertained to my employer.
Skills and Attributes
My proficiency with computer skills is a working knowledge of all facets of Microsoft Office,BuildPro and Timberline. I am organizationally
proficient, which allows a solid ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage variable workloads. My previous management
experience empowers me with the ability to dealeffectively with staff and any related issues as pertaining to HR. Further, I possess a very
strongly functioning ability to resolve problems effectively and dealprofessionally with any range of customers, trades,or co-workers.
