 Investigated matter(s) surrounding the safety, construction, maintenance, and
refurbishment of gas and oil pipelines.
 Documented, recorded, and reported all matters investigated to the Inspection Chief,
Survey Manager, and OSHA Safety Manager in order to resolve any non-compliance
issues discovered.
 Responsible for recording and proper distribution of all survey data and pertinent on-the-
spot corrections made to alleviate delays in work progress.
 Served as a point of contact for the Land Owners, Survey Company, Inspection Chief,
Construction Manager, and Land Agents regarding Land owner concerns, compliance
with signed work agreements, as well as compliance with the U.S. Department of
Transportation regarding pipeline construction.

equipment.
 Monitored, and reported, issues regarding soil conditions in excavations as stated in 29
CFR 1926 Subpart P Appendix A (3.1)
 Monitored and reported air quality issues in excavations via personal monitoring systems

Investigations Lieutenant (Internal Affairs), Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC),
Cheyenne, WY March 2010 – April 2013
 Conducted administrative, and/or criminal investigations within the Wyoming
Department of Corrections (PREA, Workplace/Sexual Harassment, Work Rule
Violations, OSHA Violations, Serious Incident Reviews, Staff and/or Prisoner Assaults,
and any matter deemed necessary by the WDOC Director as a matter requiring
investigation).
 Conducted interviews with subject/suspect(s), and witnesses in regards to the matter
under investigation.
 Determined, through the investigatory process, WDOC Policy and Procedure, and/or
Federal Guidelines, to substantiate or unsubstantiated, in part or in whole, the
allegation(s) of the investigative matter.
 Recommended disciplinary action, criminal prosecution, or recognition of outstanding
performance at the conclusion of the investigation.
 Determined, if any existed, departmental deficiencies (lack of policy, policy changes
needed, physical plant, etc.…) needed to be addressed as a result of the investigatory
matter.
 Resided as the Chairperson for Serious Incident Review (SIR) Team (i.e. - Escape,
Inmate Death, Physical Plant Failures resulting in escape, riot, injury, etc.…).
Coordinated panel interviews of all persons involved in the SIR, distributed work to the
SIR Team, reviewed said work, and distributed final report to the SIR Team, WDOC
Director, WDOC Chief Investigator, and Warden(s).
 Collected, maintained, and secured evidence per departmental policy.
 Reviewed and updated multiple departmental policies at the direction of the WDOC
Director.
 Extensive travel throughout the entire State of Wyoming.
 Cultivated and maintained working relationships with civilian law enforcement, county

 Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 700 bed, Wyoming Medium
Correctional Institution (WMCI).
 Responsible for assigning, training, evaluating, and supervising five (5) sergeants, and
30 line staff.
 Monitored and resolved staffing issues, inmate concerns, as well as coordinated physical
plant staff, and medical staff to resolve issues within their area(s) of concern.
 Coordinated medical department and departmental staff for cohesive deployment of
medical services for the inmate population.
 Assembled and deployed Emergency Response Teams in connection with emergent
situations within WMCI, as well as coordinated with local and state law enforcement for
escape of an inmate.
 Reported to the WMCI Security Manager, Deputy Warden, and Warden regarding
matters of concern arising from my shift.
 Submitted daily report, covering all three shifts, to the Security Manager, Deputy
Warden, and Warden for distribution to the WDOC Director.
