113 students from various school partners answered a pre-survey questionnaire about the environment as part of the eTwinning project "Young Voices, Green Choices". Most students are between 11 and 13 years old and correctly identified polluting factories, traffic, and industrial activities as major threats. The students expressed interest in communicating in English, meeting partners, and learning more about environmental issues through the project.

Science education in the 21st century including biology learning at the level of Junior High School requires a more contextual implementation. Environmental learning topics such as green consumerism is a contextual topic in biology learning. Students must have high Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB) to participate in protecting the environment. The purpose of this study was to measure the PEB of students at the 7th-grade level. The research method used descriptive with survey data collection techniques. The study was conducted in November-December 2018 at State Junior High School 1 South Tambun, West Java, Indonesia. A total sample of 135 students in 7th grade was selected by simple random sampling. The results showed there were six PEB indicators based on Green Consumerism that were Energy Conservation (86.37), Transportation (56.67), Waste Avoidance (53.04), Daily Consumption (64.44), Recycling (58.89), Social Behavior (60.54). Among the six indicators, only energy conservation was categorized as very high, while the others are categorized as moderate. This study concluded that PEB students must be improved by various models, methods, and media in biology learning.

Evaluating the behavior and performance of people for the sake of accessing the basic principles of sustainable living are an effective step to protect the environment. The present study aimed to examine environmental attitudes of the employees in Aghajary Oil and Gas Exploitation Company. For this purpose, a questionnaire was prepared containing 20 demographic questions and 19 questions related to examining environmental attitude. The questionnaire was completed by 350 employees of the company. Data obtained from the questionnaires was analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that environmental attitude is at high positive level (mean=84.92). The effect of individual factors such as gender, age, education and work experience on environmental attitudes of the employees was also examined. The results showed no significant difference between individual factors and environmental attitudes of the employees.

This study examines the relationship between environmental awareness and awareness of social duty among higher secondary students, and how certain educational factors affect these levels of awareness. The researcher administered surveys to 608 students to measure their environmental awareness and awareness of social duty. Statistical analysis found a positive relationship between the two awareness levels. Specifically, awareness of social duty accounted for 35.3% of students' environmental awareness scores. Certain educational factors like grade level, field of study, type of school, and parents' education level accounted for 41% of students' environmental awareness when considered alongside their social duty awareness scores. The study aims to predict environmental awareness based on social duty awareness and these educational characteristics.

This study investigated the effectiveness of experience and nature-based learning activities in enhancing college students’ environmental attitude. It employed pre-test-post-test experimental research design. The participants were the class of fifty-three college students of a higher education institution in Region 2, Philippines. Seven learning activities were employed by the researcher namely pamphlets making, environmental-themed movie poster making, collage making, miniature plant exhibit, vegetable gardening, community clean-up service, recycled art crafts making, and tree planting drive. In like manner, the pre-attitude score and post-attitude scores in the standardize environmental attitude inventory test were compared and the significant differences were determined using paired sample t-test. Results of the study revealed that the different experience-based learning activities were generally rated interesting. Moreover, it was also revealed that the different learning activities significantly increased the environmental attitude of the students towards nature enjoyment, support for interventions and conservation policies environmental movement activism, conservation motivated by anthropocentric concern, confidence in science and technology, environmental threat, altering nature, personal conservation behavior, human dominance over nature, human utilization of nature, and ecocentric concern. This implies that allowing students to be exposed to the different environmental learning activities where direct learning experience is involved significantly increased students environmental construct.
Children and young people service plan consultation update
This document summarizes the results of a consultation with over 800 children and young people in East Ayrshire aged 2-21 on their views to inform the new 2011-2014 Children and Young People's Service Plan. Various methods were used including questionnaires, focus groups, and a portable video booth. Key findings included a general lack of awareness of the Child Protection logo among younger children, and that vulnerable groups had a higher awareness of support services compared to the broader group of children. The consultation gathered important input to help shape the new three-year plan to best support children and young people in the community.

This study sought to measure the environmental awareness and practices of 100 public secondary school science students in Zambales, Philippines. The results showed that the students have a very good understanding of key environmental concepts and issues. They are also very sensitive to environmental problems and often take action to address them. A moderate correlation was found between students' environmental practices and high levels of engagement. The study recommends schools support programs to maintain students' environmental awareness and institutionalize advocacy through student organizations and science clubs. It also proposes implementing an ecological management plan to further enhance students' environmental commitment.

This survey of 178 students in Kavala, Greece aimed to understand water conservation practices and awareness. It found that most students drink tap water and over 70% take water saving measures at home, like using showers and fixing leaks. However, many use excess water for bathing, dishes, cleaning and laundry. While students feel conscious of water use, only 63% believe supplies are sufficient. Households were identified as the largest local water consumers, followed by industry and agriculture. The survey concludes students need more education on sustainable practices like rainwater collection to motivate better water stewardship.

Environmental Awareness among the Students of 10th Class of Chamba District
Abstract: Today’s adolescents are the responsible citizen of tomorrow. Their attitudes, values and awareness are going to affect the future environmental scenario significantly. It is this generation that will be taking future policy decision. It is therefore important to know the concern of these generations with reward to important issues like environmental problems. In the present work and attempt has been made to study the awareness of secondary school students regarding the environment around them. Cause of environmental degradation and about the remedial measures which can be taken to preserve the environment with the help of questionnaire, review of literature reveals that the studies of this nature are very rare. This work, therefore assumes more significance. It will also help in providing suggestions to the planners with the regards to the modifications which are needed in the curriculum. So as, to increase the awareness of the students in those areas where they are less aware or lack awareness.
Results of the pre Survey
Most of the 156 students who responded to the survey for the "Christmas Carols" eTwinning project are between 12 and 13 years old. Over half enjoy aspects of Christmas like decorations, gifts, food, and atmosphere, while 43% specifically enjoy Christmas carols. The majority also have favorite carols and are looking forward to communicating in English, meeting partners, and learning about different Christmas traditions between countries through the project.

However, many use excess water for bathing, dishes, cleaning and laundry. While students feel conscious of water use, only 63% believe supplies are sufficient. Households were identified as the largest local water consumers, followed by industry and agriculture. The survey concludes students need more education on sustainable practices like rainwater collection to motivate better water stewardship.

Environmental Awareness among the Students of 10th Class of Chamba District
Abstract: Today’s adolescents are the responsible citizen of tomorrow. Their attitudes, values and awareness are going to affect the future environmental scenario significantly. It is this generation that will be taking future policy decision. It is therefore important to know the concern of these generations with reward to important issues like environmental problems. In the present work and attempt has been made to study the awareness of secondary school students regarding the environment around them. Cause of environmental degradation and about the remedial measures which can be taken to preserve the environment with the help of questionnaire, review of literature reveals that the studies of this nature are very rare. This work, therefore assumes more significance. It will also help in providing suggestions to the planners with the regards to the modifications which are needed in the curriculum. So as, to increase the awareness of the students in those areas where they are less aware or lack awareness.

Results of the pre Survey
Most of the 156 students who responded to the survey for the "Christmas Carols" eTwinning project are between 12 and 13 years old. Over half enjoy aspects of Christmas like decorations, gifts, food, and atmosphere, while 43% specifically enjoy Christmas carols. The majority also have favorite carols and are looking forward to communicating in English, meeting partners, and learning about different Christmas traditions between countries through the project.
Italian Team - My Country, my school
Italy is a parliamentary republic located in southern Europe. Its capital is Rome and it has a population of around 60 million people. Italy has 20 regions, five of which have special autonomous status, and it is further divided into 110 provinces and 8,100 municipalities.
Sicily is the largest Italian island and one of the most beautiful regions in southern Italy, known for its coastlines and the active volcano Mount Etna. The town of Portopalo di Capo Passero is located in Sicily with around 3,600 inhabitants and its economy depends heavily on fishing and tourism along the coastline.

88 students answered a questionnaire on personal values. While all students agreed on democracy and freedom, some disagreed on solidarity, justice and equality. Most students believe the EU should give top priority to all values.
Results pre survey
Most students who responded to the pre-survey questionnaire have taken a train at least once, with only 16 never having traveled by train. While most think train travel is more environmentally friendly than other forms of transportation, about a quarter are uncertain or do not think so. Similarly, most believe train travel is safer but close to 27% do not think it is safer. Only 30 students were aware that 2021 was designated as the European Year of Railways. Students hope to learn more about trains as transportation, get to know other European students, and improve their English communication skills through the project.
Results pre survey
Almost all participating students from partner countries responded to the pre-survey questionnaire, with 92 responses. Most students have taken the train at least once, while 16 have never traveled by train. Students were uncertain whether train travel is more comfortable than flying, and most thought train travel is more environmentally friendly but some did not. Most planned to travel by train for 3 days or less and thought train travel is safer, though some disagreed. Only 30 students knew 2021 was designated the European Year of Railways. Students hoped to learn more about trains, meet other European students, and improve their English.
Feedback of students
116 students answered a questionnaire about a project that helped them learn more about Christmas traditions in their own country and develop a better understanding of cultural diversity in Europe. The project provided opportunities for students to develop their English skills and try speaking a foreign language. Students indicated the project was important for several reasons.

The story of the Befana begins as a pre-Christian tradition that evolved with Christianity. The Befana symbolizes the New Year and brings gifts on Epiphany, the end of the Christmas season. According to legend, the Three Wise Men met an old woman while searching for baby Jesus and invited her to join them, but she refused. Regretting her decision, she began giving gifts to children hoping to find Jesus, and continues doing so on Epiphany.
The crib story of an old shepherd
St. Francis of Assisi brought the tradition of the nativity scene or crib to Italy after returning from Palestine, wanting to share the spirit of Jesus's birth. Originally composed of cardboard figures including only a plaster baby Jesus, the crib was typically placed in a corner of the kitchen on moss. Today's cribs include many figures, notably Gelindo the shepherd carrying a sheep on his shoulders. According to tradition, Gelindo was a shepherd from Monferrato who helped Joseph and Mary in the Holy Land, and was the first to visit the manger after Jesus's birth. The nativity scene remains a popular tradition in many Italian homes each Christmas.

It was settled by Phoenicians, Punics, and Greeks starting in 750 BC, and later developed by the Romans for agriculture. During the Arab domination of Sicily, Pachino fell within the Val di Noto administrative district. The current town of Pachino began in 1734 when the Starrabba family decided to reside on their estates in the area. Today, Pachino is known for wine production such as Nero d'Avola, cherry tomatoes, and hosts the Festival of Cinema of the Frontier.
