1. Results from questionnaire
I asked a 10 people as my market research and this is my results;
How old are you?
The pie chart shows that the majority aged group who were tested were 16 -
25, where the faction is 6/10. This shows that the survey was bias as it was
more targeted towards people aged 16 - 25. as if I was to carry this survey out
again, I would make sure that I give every age group an more equal chance,
however my survey is still valid as the magazine which will be created will be
aimed towards this age group

What gender are you?
The pie chart shows that the majority of people who were surveyed were
women, this also shows that this is a bias; however it can still used as valid as
this still shows a mixture of genders' opinions. As well, my magazine target
audience is women more than men.

2. What’s your occupation?
(On this question they have state their jobs so I am going to say if there in a job
or education)
As the majority of people I asked were between the ages of 16 – 25, this is
reflected off the pie chart as the majority of my pie chart of the people is in
education. Therefore this means that my magazine will need to be low cost as
students are about saving money.

What genre of music do you listen to?
The graph show a various different type of music as different people have
different tastes. However as a majority of people chose rock as their favourite
genre, which was the type of magazine I was thinking of doing, so by doing a
rock magazine I am targeting to the majority of the people who took my
questionnaire

Theses figure show that a majority of people who pay around £2 - £5 than £7 -
£10. However as a lot of the people I asked were students, they don’t have
much to spend on a luxury goods such as magazines. Therefore as 16 – 25 year
olds are my target market I will need to price my magazine low.
What would you want to read/see inside the magazine?
The feedback to this question was mixed so to get the most customers, I need
to make sure I include the entire list, which people have said. This also shows
that everyone is attracted to different areas not just one thing.

4. What colours attract you to the magazine?
The graph shows that over a quarter of the people asked said that black
attracts them. Black is a bold colour, and stands out attention. So I will need to
include this when making my magazine so it catches people eyes.

What on a front cover attracts you to buy it?
As I am taking the photos to my magazine I will need to take an image which
will stand out and is eye catching to the audience therefore they will be
persuaded to buy the magazine. As well I will need to put in good covers lines
so that the audience is still entertained throughout the magazine.

Most of the people have suggested that I release the magazine weekly from
graph 1. However from graph 2, most people would buy the magazine now and
then, so if the company sells the magazine weekly they could be making a
potential lost as sales would vary week to week. Therefore deciding on the two
graphs the magazine is best to release the magazine monthly. This could be
positive as you could put more into the magazine and increase the price.
6. How would you consume the magazine?
Half of the people I have asked wouldn’t mind either a paper or an electronic
version. However it would be cheaper to produce an electronic version of the
magazine through such web 2.0 technologies such as a web app. However the
magazine wouldn’t be reaching the target audience so what could be best is
doing both as then potentially both could have an effect on sales as they are
reaching all of the people.
