ResCare Academy: is a free web based online
learning tool that offers over 1, 500 skill training
courses for professional and personal development
WIA customers.
This training and assessment tool was designed
specifically to enable jobseekers to fulfill their
potential. Courses are available 24 hours a day,
7 days a week.
Courses range from Computer Sciences, Foreign
Languages, Microsoft Office to Health Care and
touch on most high demand industries in this
region.

Intensive Services (WIA Enrollment IS required) :
Resource Workforce Centers offer intensive services
to customers who are unable to obtain full-time,
unsubsidized employment through core services and
meet the eligibility requirements that will be detailed
during orientation.
These services include but are not limited to:
 Career Connect (Job Club ) & Placement
Assistance
Workforce Investment Act (WIA ) Program:
provides Individualized Services intended to
help Job Seekers return to the Workforce by
utilizing general, individual, and if determined
eligible, for training service.
WIA provides one-on-one assistance for job
seekers with resumes, interviewing, job search,
and career planning. Workers who are either
unemployed or working in low-wage jobs may
be eligible for supportive service while seeking
employment, interviewing, or attending training.
The primary focus of training is to obtain a
certificate or degree of value to the labor
market, leading to a job in high demand
occupations and emerging industries. As
funding allows, participants may be eligible to
receive tuition assistance which may include
instructional costs, books, materials, and fees
( such as application costs, registration, and
laboratory fees. )
