• Apply past DBA skills to develop and support PICK System running UNIDATA 7.2.0 on a
VMWare ESX/ESXI 4.X system with RedHat 5.5 Linux. This system was recently migrated
from a Sun Solaris UNIX/Unidata platform.
• Coordinate and resolve discrepancies between Oracle table structures and PICK files making
modifications to either table column configuration or PICK data input edits as required.
• Utilize SQL Plus, SQLLoader, and UNIX shell scripts to develop, maintain and troubleshoot
Oracle Data Warehouse application being ported from a legacy system.
• Support Data warehouse system incorporating automated phantom processes feeding FTP chron
jobs that distribute selective data to feeder subsystems.
• Full system support of Oracle as an Operational Data Store (ODS) for daily data distribution to

• Responsible for all telephone bills and successfully organized and reduced telephone costs 25% by
identifying and resolving unused and abandoned circuits.

February 2004 to March 2005 Contractor - Project Manager/Technical Lead Lannett Company
Philadelphia, PA
• Project Manager for EDI implementation on an new SAP ERP implementation with deliverables
including documentation, functional specifications, data mapping, technical specifications,
operational procedures, and training. The EDI system was delivered and accepted on time and on
budget.
• Implemented the Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) utilizing the Gentran Integration Map Editor,
Graphic Modeler, Business Processes, File System Adapters, and exception reporting notification
via email using the Graphic Modeling tool. Developed knowledge of XML, BPML, Java, Jboss
while implementing GIS.
• Worked with external pharmaceutical Trading Partners and EDI vendors to resolve issues.
• Developed test parameters, coordinated with Trading Partners, implemented new transaction sets
and new trading relationships.
• Setup and maintained all transmission schedules to and from the VAN, and created an archive
system for all inbound and outbound data analysis.
• Established FTP transmission to VAN along with email notification for errors and exceptions.
• Created and maintained SQL Database, Queries, and provided on going management of the SQL
platform.
• Worked with internal departments, outside vendors, and management, to create new EDI forms
which where the primary drivers for the company’s Chargeback System, which was projected to
save the company $1M+ per year in lost or erroneous credits.
• Transaction sets (all EDI X12) include 810, 850, 844, 849, 820, and 856. The system
communicated to Sterling Commerce’s Value Added Network to reach Nationwide Trading
Partners.
• Developed Corporate Disaster Recovery Strategy including DR Landscape, Acceptable Point and
Time of Recovery, Co-location and Off-site Media Storage.
• Participated in network topology review, Business Continuity Planning, documenting IT Standard
Operating Procedures and review of a Barcode Scanning System.
• Limited hands-on in the Sales, Accounting, and Inventory applications in SAP.

November 1996 to October 2003 Director Information Systems The Masonic Home of New Jersey
• Director for a major Nursing Home/Medical Center responsible for the IT support of a 527 bed
Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Responsible for final technical decisions regarding data, voice, video, and electronic systems
throughout the enterprise. Had Project Management responsibilities for all projects approved by
the Board of Directors.
• Budgeted, negotiated and managed multimillion dollar departmental budget.
• Replaced all legacy systems with “best of breed” applications including the mission critical
Hospital Administration System.
• Working with management and contractors, developed Masonic Home Web site incorporating
departmental maintenance thru user intervention.
• Responsible for implementation and troubleshooting telecommunication links with intermediaries.
• Created necessary IT Policy and Procedures required for the Home to maintain HIPAA
compliancy.
• Upgraded LAN with Windows 2000 and XP workstations, Windows 2K, 2K3 and NT Server
Farm, Arcserve with multiple robotic tape backups, UNIX (AIX) RS6000 Server, on a fiber
broadband backbone using Cisco switches, Bay Networks switches and hubs.
• Installed Avaya Definity G3 Guest Works digital PBX with Intuity/Audix voice mail and Infortel
Call Accounting servicing staff and residents’ phones.
• Expanded the Avaya telephone system to service the residents as a lower cost alternative to their
local and long distance carriers creating a new source of revenue for the Home.
• Replaced all the Verizon payphones with an in-house system owned and operated by the Home to
reduce expenses and increase revenues.
• Installed hybrid video system consisting of cable, satellite, local UHF and VHF, closed circuit
cameras, and preprogrammed recorders for both entertainment and educational use.
• Managed a staff of three direct reports and 8 contractors.
May 1993 to October 1996 IT Director Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, PA.
• Unit Manager responsible for hardware, software, support, training and maintenance,
telecommunications, telephone, telephone bills, cellular phones, radios, beepers and infrastructure.
• Supported the information and telecommunication needs of all Division of Aviation Units and
tenants at both the Philadelphia International and Northeast Philadelphia Airports.
• Project Manager for the installation of: a Novell Network that interfaced local and remote servers,
a UNIX/PICK Financial system, a Lotus cc:Mail system, a Maintenance Management system, an
AUTOCAD system, and the Airport’s interface to the city’s mainframe.
• Project Manager responsible for interactive Internet services for the traveling public. This project
included: investigation into service providers, fire walls, modes of communications, home page
and Airport web site, and real time flight information system. The result was www.phl.org.
• Created a Help Desk function to support users and track hardware and software malfunctions.
• Negotiated and managed professional service contracts totaling $1M annually.
• Developed bid pre-qualification and final specifications for communications and information
systems maintenance ($1.2M annual operating expense), long distance 0+ and corridor telephone
service ($1.5M annual revenue), and coin phone service ($.25M annual revenue).
• Responsible for the management of an AT&T Definity G3i PBX servicing 1500 extensions.
Peripherals to the switch include Intuity/Audix Voice Mail, AT&Ts Call Message System,
AT&T’s Automatic Call Distribution System, AT&T Conversant IVRU, security recorders and
messaging systems. The system was configured as a campus environment with multiple IDFs
administered by the MIS unit.
• Managed a staff of eight direct reports and 25 contractors.
April 1991 to May 1993 Consultant
• Project Manager on EDI implementation of custom system to interface national book distributor ‘s
PICK based ERP system with bookstores throughout the US.
• Project Manager on system conversions; system performance evaluations; custom system-to-
system communications interface.
• Designed and developed FAX interfaces for mini-computers, PC/Mainframe data exchange, and
remote support of a purchase order control and tracking system.
June 1986 to April 1991 Director Operations Information Systems Wells Fargo Alarm Services, King
of Prussia, PA.
• Project Manager for the creation of the Operations Information System (a PICK based system),
consisting of System Development Life Cycle - project design, system architecture and
philosophy, operating system and hardware evaluation, application software, data base structure,
support plan, implementation plan, catastrophe plan, manpower resource requirements (initial and
long term), system growth projection, alpha site selection, start-up, and corporate study of cost
versus savings justification.
• Managed local programming and national implementation teams
• Installed fifty systems nationally and two in Canada. Twelve of these were direct sales to
customers, which were a result of a spin-off product that contributed to income and insured the
longevity of large service revenue accounts (combined annual revenue exceeded $15 million).
• Implementation responsibilities consisted of site survey, preparation, power and environmental
requirements, hardware location and installation, user training, and on-going 24x7 support of more
than 1000 users nationwide and in Canada.
• Responsible for hardware (including all peripherals) evaluation and vendor selection, price
negotiations, and maintenance contracts. Total hardware installed exceeded $2 million in mini-
computers with annual service contracts over $250,000.
• Evaluated fault tolerant systems as an alternative to existing equipment upgrades.
• Designed and conducted all benchmarks that led to the final decision to use a fault tolerant super
mini cluster environment (contract value $3 million).
• The department consisted of two direct report managers with a combined staff of fifteen including
one contract programmer and one documentation consultant.

February 2004 to March 2005 Contractor - Project Manager/Technical Lead Lannett Company Philadelphia, PA • Project Manager for EDI implementation on an new SAP ERP implementation with deliverables including documentation, functional specifications, data mapping, technical specifications, operational procedures, and training. The EDI system was delivered and accepted on time and on budget. • Implemented the Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) utilizing the Gentran Integration Map Editor, Graphic Modeler, Business Processes, File System Adapters, and exception reporting notification via email using the Graphic Modeling tool. Developed knowledge of XML, BPML, Java, Jboss while implementing GIS. • Worked with external pharmaceutical Trading Partners and EDI vendors to resolve issues. • Developed test parameters, coordinated with Trading Partners, implemented new transaction sets and new trading relationships. • Setup and maintained all transmission schedules to and from the VAN, and created an archive system for all inbound and outbound data analysis. • Established FTP transmission to VAN along with email notification for errors and exceptions.

The system communicated to Sterling Commerce’s Value Added Network to reach Nationwide Trading Partners. • Developed Corporate Disaster Recovery Strategy including DR Landscape, Acceptable Point and Time of Recovery, Co-location and Off-site Media Storage. • Participated in network topology review, Business Continuity Planning, documenting IT Standard Operating Procedures and review of a Barcode Scanning System. • Limited hands-on in the Sales, Accounting, and Inventory applications in SAP. • Supervised 1 contractor. November 1996 to October 2003 Director Information Systems The Masonic Home of New Jersey • Director for a major Nursing Home/Medical Center responsible for the IT support of a 527 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. • Responsible for final technical decisions regarding data, voice, video, and electronic systems throughout the enterprise. This project included: investigation into service providers, fire walls, modes of communications, home page and Airport web site, and real time flight information system. April 1991 to May 1993 Consultant • Project Manager on EDI implementation of custom system to interface national book distributor ‘s PICK based ERP system with bookstores throughout the US. • Project Manager on system conversions; system performance evaluations; custom system-to- system communications interface. • Designed and developed FAX interfaces for mini-computers, PC/Mainframe data exchange, and remote support of a purchase order control and tracking system. June 1986 to April 1991 Director Operations Information Systems Wells Fargo Alarm Services, King of Prussia, PA. • Project Manager for the creation of the Operations Information System (a PICK based system), consisting of System Development Life Cycle - project design, system architecture and philosophy, operating system and hardware evaluation, application software, data base structure, support plan, implementation plan, catastrophe plan, manpower resource requirements (initial and long term), system growth projection, alpha site selection, start-up, and corporate study of cost versus savings justification. • Managed local programming and national implementation teams • Installed fifty systems nationally and two in Canada. Twelve of these were direct sales to customers, which were a result of a spin-off product that contributed to income and insured the longevity of large service revenue accounts (combined annual revenue exceeded $15 million). • Implementation responsibilities consisted of site survey, preparation, power and environmental requirements, hardware location and installation, user training, and on-going 24x7 support of more than 1000 users nationwide and in Canada. • Responsible for hardware (including all peripherals) evaluation and vendor selection, price negotiations, and maintenance contracts. Total hardware installed exceeded $2 million in mini- computers with annual service contracts over $250,000. • Evaluated fault tolerant systems as an alternative to existing equipment upgrades. • Designed and conducted all benchmarks that led to the final decision to use a fault tolerant super mini cluster environment (contract value $3 million). • The department consisted of two direct report managers with a combined staff of fifteen including one contract programmer and one documentation consultant.
