Orangutans live in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra, spending most of their time in trees high above the forest floor. They eat a variety of fruits and occasionally small animals or insects. Females give birth to one baby every four years and raise them alone, moving their nests every night for protection from predators. Orangutans are currently endangered due to habitat loss and poaching.

 Figs, mangos, lychee, durian, fungus, mixed leaves,
bark, insects, nuts, and sometimes small animals
 400 different types of fruit
 Use their hands to scoop water off leaves
 Climb trees for fruit
Eat meat if can be catched

 Moments are lazy and slow
 On ground they are very slow
 On tree are very fast
 Travel high above rainforest floor
 Take a nap for a hour at a time
