Orangutans are large primates found in tropical rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo. They have long red hair, strong arms for swinging through trees, and no tail. Orangutans are mainly herbivorous but also eat some insects and small animals. Females give birth after 8.5-9 month pregnancies and care for their young for up to 7 years. Orangutans live in trees and construct nests of leaves and twigs for sleeping.
