This study examined the effects of two different co-teaching models, "One Teach-One Assist" and "Team Teaching", on the academic achievement of 7th grade science students with special needs. Students scored significantly higher on quizzes after lessons taught using the "Team Teaching" model, with a 569% increase in mean scores, compared to a 77% increase using the "One Teach-One Assist" model. However, the study had limitations such as differences in content difficulty between units and a lack of controlled variables. Overall, the results suggest that students with special needs benefit most from collaborative "Team Teaching" where both teachers share equal responsibility for lesson delivery.
