This document provides fabric calculations and requirements for various garments based on measurements and cloth width. It includes calculations for men's short sleeve slack, long sleeve shirt, trousers, and women's saree blouse. Ready calculations are also given for common garments like salwar kameez, churidar, pyjama, nighty, kaftan, beach shorts, suits, and medical coats based on cloth width. The calculations allow estimating fabric needs depending on a garment's measurements and the available cloth width.

Men’s short sleeve slack:
Measurements:
Full length = 27”. chest = 36”. Sleeve length = 9”. Cloth width = 36”.
Formula = 2 Lengths + 2 Sleeve length + 6”.
27 x 2 = 54 + 18 + 6 = 78 x 2.54 = 198.12.
Ans= 1.98 metre.
If the cloth width is 30” cloth requirement is more.
Estimated fabric/given cloth width x expected cloth width
198/36 x 30 = 2.38 m.
If the cloth width is 42”, cloth requirements is lesser
42” = 198x36 / 42 = 1.70metre.
48” = 198x36 / 48 = 1.49metre.
60” = 198x36 / 60 = 1.19metre.
Men’s Long- Sleeve shirt:

2. Length = 30”. chest = 36”. Sleeve length = 24”. Clothwidth = 36”.
Formula = 2. Lengths + 1. Sleeve lengths + 10”.
30x2 = 60
24x1 = 24
= 60 + 24 + 10 = 94 x2.54 = 2.39 metre.
Ans = 2.39 Metre.
If the cloth width is narrower, 30”. Cloth requirements is more, i.e., 42”, 48”, and 60”,
cloth requirement is considered to be reduced apply formula mentioned in short sleeve slack.
Men’s Trousers:
Length 38”, Seat 36”. Cloth width is 54”.
Formula = 1. Length + 8”
38 + 8 = 46 x 2.54 = 1.17 metre.
If the cloth width is 27”, fabric requirement will become 1.17 x 2 = 2.34 metre.
Women’s saree blouse:
Length 14”, Bust 36”, Cloth width 36”, Sleeve length 8”.
Formula = 2. lengths + 1 Sleeve lengths + 4”
14 x 2 = 28
8 x 1 = 8
= 28 + 8 + 4 = 40 x 2.54 = 1.02 m
