New Zealand has a diverse economy dependent on agriculture, tourism, and technology exports. Agriculture makes up around 50% of export income, with dairy being the largest sector. Tourism is also a major industry and top foreign exchange earner. Other key sectors include energy and minerals, timber, and fishing. New Zealand's GDP per capita was $41,555 in 2013, with economic growth of 2.5% that year. The country imports machinery, vehicles, oil, electronics and other goods. Technology exports have grown substantially in recent years to become the third largest export sector behind dairy and tourism. Construction is also booming currently due to earthquake recovery and housing demand.
New Zealand is called the youngest country on the planet because it was the last major landmass to be discovered. New Zealand was discovered by Dutch explorer Abel Janszoon Tasman in 13th Dec 1642. The settlements on the New Zealand are very recent as compared to settlements on other parts of the world.

The New Zealand Dairy Industry has become a major driver of its economy and in 2011 it produced 25% of its export revenue. Furthermore on a global scale it makes up 33% of the world dairy industry which is a significant feat for a small isolated country. So why has New Zealand become such a dominant player in the global dairy market?

Historical background
Goldstone was established in 1889 as part of the broader push within regional Australia for more
gold fields. The early excavation of gold was undertaken with intensive manual labour, reaching a
peak in 1923, when the town’s population grew to 15,000. Other industries gradually became
established from the 1930s, including timber production, agriculture and the pastoral industry.
While the gold production fell to a low in the 1970s, more recent advances in gold extraction
methods have revitalised this industry and production is again increasing, albeit not at the same
rates as earlier in the century. This diversity in economic base has led to a gradual increase in
population throughout the 20th century so that in 2014 the population in Goldstone and its
surrounding district (6,856 km2
) is 31,675 persons.
Environment
Location
Goldstone is located in Central Queensland about 316 km inland from the coast. The local
government area covers 2,987 sq kilometres (or 0.095% of the total area of Queensland).
Topography
The urban areas of Goldstone have developed primarily over a flood plain adjacent to a river. The
south east part of town is slightly more elevated than the remaining urban area. The Goldstone
town is predominantly low standing sloping slightly in the direction of the north east.
The topography of the surrounding region consists mainly of low hills resulting from active erosion
by a detailed, dendritic drainage pattern. Locally, especially where the basement rocks are
dominated by softer shales, the flanks of the streams are flat and covered by a thin veneer of fine
sand and silt.
The vegetation can be described as ‘grassy tree areas’, with extensive grass established among
scattered eucalypt trees of maximum 20 metres height. The vegetation of mainly semi -prone
‘paperbark’ trees is also quite open, which presented no problem in past years for substantial local
clearing from the areas to be mined.
Climate and weather
Goldstone is situated within a dry tropics region, which extends approximately 56,000 square
kilometres .The climate may be described as being ‘moderate, sub-tropical’, with maximum
summer daily temperatures occasionally as high as 38°C, winter as low as 5°C. Most of the year is
dry, rain falling mainly within the period late-November to early-March. Occasional extreme rainy
seasons occur and severe storms can affect the community in the wetter summer months. Such
storms may produce a complex hazard of heavy rain and land floods with associated soil erosion
and riverbank erosion and depositing of sediments.

how to sell pi coins in South Korea profitably.DOT TECH
Yes. You can sell your pi network coins in South Korea or any other country, by finding a verified pi merchant
What is a verified pi merchant?
Since pi network is not launched yet on any exchange, the only way you can sell pi coins is by selling to a verified pi merchant, and this is because pi network is not launched yet on any exchange and no pre-sale or ico offerings Is done on pi.
Since there is no pre-sale, the only way exchanges can get pi is by buying from miners. So a pi merchant facilitates these transactions by acting as a bridge for both transactions.
How can i find a pi vendor/merchant?
Well for those who haven't traded with a pi merchant or who don't already have one. I will leave the telegram id of my personal pi merchant who i trade pi with.

Resume
• Real GDP growth slowed down due to problems with access to electricity caused by the destruction of manoeuvrable electricity generation by Russian drones and missiles.
• Exports and imports continued growing due to better logistics through the Ukrainian sea corridor and road. Polish farmers and drivers stopped blocking borders at the end of April.
• In April, both the Tax and Customs Services over-executed the revenue plan. Moreover, the NBU transferred twice the planned profit to the budget.
• The European side approved the Ukraine Plan, which the government adopted to determine indicators for the Ukraine Facility. That approval will allow Ukraine to receive a EUR 1.9 bn loan from the EU in May. At the same time, the EU provided Ukraine with a EUR 1.5 bn loan in April, as the government fulfilled five indicators under the Ukraine Plan.
• The USA has finally approved an aid package for Ukraine, which includes USD 7.8 bn of budget support; however, the conditions and timing of the assistance are still unknown.
• As in March, annual consumer inflation amounted to 3.2% yoy in April.
• At the April monetary policy meeting, the NBU again reduced the key policy rate from 14.5% to 13.5% per annum.
• Over the past four weeks, the hryvnia exchange rate has stabilized in the UAH 39-40 per USD range.

2. Introduction
New Zealand is part of Oceania and is located in the southwest Pacific Ocean. It is also known as “the land of
the long white cloud" or "Aotearoa" in Maori. The wild and strange landscapes of New Zealand South Island and
North Island have earned it the interest of television and movie studiosincluding the filmingof the trilogy "Lord
of the Rings" and "Hobbit" directed by Peter Jackson, who is himself a Kiwi (nickname given to the inhabitants
of New Zealand and the symbol of the country). In the 19th century, due to the growing interest of the restof the
world in New Zealand, the British government proclaimed British sovereignty and negotiated a treaty with Maori.
The Treaty of Waitangi was subsequently signed in the Bay of Islands (Northland) on the 06 February 1840. This
day is celebrated every year as a Kiwi national holiday.
Domestic Business
The following export product groups represent the highest dollar value in global shipments from New Zealand
during 2015.
1. Dairy, eggs, honey: US$8.9 billion (23.5% of total exports)
2. Meat: $5.6 billion (14.6%)
3. Wood: $2.9 billion (7.6%)
4. Fruits, nuts: $1.7 billion (4.5%)
5. Alcoholic beverages: $1.4 billion (3.8%)
6. Machines, engines, pumps: $1.3 billion (3.5%)
7. Modified starches, enzymes: $1.1 billion (3%)
8. Fish: $1 billion (2.7%)
9. Other food preparations: $876.8 million (2.3%)
10. Aluminum: $835.3 million (2.2%)
Miscellaneous food preparations were the fastest-growing among New Zealand’s top 10 export categories, up
66.5% for the 5-year period starting in 2011.
In second place for improving export sales were modified starches and enzymes which rose 37.7%, followed by
fruits and nuts (up 34.9%) and alcoholic beverages (up 34.8%).
Decliners were led by aluminum, down in value by -15.3% and machinery with a -9.2% drop.
3. Top Sectors of New Zealand
AGRICULTURE
About 50% of total export income comes from meat, dairy products, and wool; the land supports some 68 million
sheep and 4.8 million beef cattle. New Zealand is one of the world's largest exporters of lamb and mutton, has a
growing beef industry (about 75% of which is produced in the North Island), and supplies about 90 countries with
meat (the major markets are the U.K., Iran, Russia, Japan, U.S., and Canada). New Zealand is also one of the
largest and most efficient exporters of dairy products. The combination of a good growing climate, stable rainfall,
and lush grass year-round has produced an average herd of about 120 cows; most of the 3.3 million dairy cows in
the country are Jerseys or Friesians (that's one cow per person!). Butter (mostly to the U.K.) and cheddar cheese
(mostly to Japan and the U.K.) are the major dairy exports. New Zealand's rich and creamy dairy products are
among the best in the world--one taste and you'll be convinced!
Tourism
Tourism is a major part of the New Zealand economy. In fact, it is the top earner of foreign exchange. The New
Zealand Tourism Board does an excellent job of developing facilities while maintaining the natural and cultural
aspects of the country; the department also promotes New Zealand overseas. The majority of visitors flock across
from Australia; however, more and more visitors from North America, Japan, the U.K., Europe, and Taiwan are
discovering New Zealand.
Energy and Minerals
New Zealand has significant natural energy resources, with good reserves of coal, natural ga s and oil/condensate,
extensive geothermal fields, and a geography and climate which have supported substantial hydro -electric
development. The main minerals mined, in addition to coal, are gold, silver, ironsands, various industrial minerals
and gravel for construction.
Timber
After agriculture, forestry is New Zealand's next important industry. More than 27% of the country is covered by
forest--about 1.2 million hectares of production plantation forest and 6.2 million hectares of indigenous forests. As
native trees are very slow-growing, they are used for special purposes only. The planted forests of exotic radiata
pine are the major suppliers of New Zealand's timber. Radiata grows rapidly here, producing a high amount of
usable wood per tree. Forest export products consist of timber, wood pulp and chips, paper, building boards,
plywood, veneers, and various oils. Australia and Japan are New Zealand's largest customers of forest product
exports.
Fishing
New Zealand has an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of 3.1 million nautical square kilometres supporting a wide
variety of inshore fish, some large deep-water fin fish, squid and tuna. New Zealand's unpolluted coastal waters are
also well-suited to aquaculture. The main species farmed are Pacific oyster, green-lipped mussels and quinnat
salmon.

7. Exports
Changing economies of New Zealand
Technology is now the third largest export. This has grown substantially in the last 10 years and now only sits
behind dairy and tourismas the third largest earner for new zealand. In 2013 the economy grew 3.3%. HSBC
chief economist for Australia and New Zealand, Paul Bloxham, was so impressed that he predicted New
Zealand's growth would outpace most of its peers, and he described New Zealand as the "rock star economy of
2014"
Construction is also booming in NZ at the moment. The construction boomis due to two bad things - the
earthquake in Christchurch and a housing shortage in Auckland. Tourismis growing phenomenally, with the
strongest growth fromChina. Again, though, foryour average NZer this is not great news as jobs in tourismare
also casualised and poorly paid.
