Living Lab Policy Shift Based on: EP STOA UNIT “CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE NEW MEDIA” UPDATE 2002 Develop participatory scenarios. “ Demand pull” approach to ICT investments. Define innovation strategies with “experts” and industry interests. Develop-ment Strategies Integrate research with local and regional development actors and initiatives. Dedicated research centres with specialised infrastructures. Territorial Infra-structures Involve all citizen groups. Develop “innovation literacy”. Train “users” with standard qualifications, e.g. ECDL Human Capital Transversal Living Lab Policy Sectoral Living Lab Policy Objective
Transversal Regional Policy: Funding  Sicilian ERDF OP 2007-2013: € 6,5 Billion Objective 4.1.1:  “Scientific Research and technological innovation”: up to € 100 Million ca. 5-20% of all Axes (e.g. Natural Resources, Competitiveness, Sustainable Urban Development): up to € 1 Billion ca.
