The document outlines the key elements to include when designing a game for instructional purposes, such as an overview of the concept, desired outcomes, objectives, assessment, gameplay strategy, character descriptions, environment, how to play, rewards, look and feel, technical specifications, and timeline. It provides examples for each element and recommends including details about the instructional approach, scenario, interactions, and assessment within the game design. The goal is to create an engaging experience that teaches the intended concepts and evaluates learning.
Gameplay is defined as the specific interactions players have with a game through its rules and mechanics. Key aspects of gameplay that impact the player experience include playability, satisfaction, learning, efficiency, immersion, motivation, emotion, and socialization. Game mechanics are the rules and constraints that guide gameplay to create a fun experience. Common game mechanics include turns, action points to control player actions each turn, and capture/eliminate mechanics to remove opponents from play.
This document outlines key elements that should be included in an Art and Sound Design Guide (ASG) for a game. The ASG describes the artistic approach, identifies key art assets, establishes art standards, and ensures visual consistency. It provides concept drawings of characters, environments, icons, and menus. It also specifies the art production pipeline and stages from initial concepts to final textures and animations. The document stresses that the art and sound design should reinforce the intended mood. Additionally, it addresses video resolutions and aspects, safe areas for user interfaces, and styles for sound effects, soundtracks and adaptive audio.

The document discusses the core elements of game design, including the roles of players and designers. It outlines the iterative design process that designers go through, from initial ideas and prototyping to playtesting and refinement. Key aspects covered include brainstorming ideas, creating game documentation, pitching concepts, and defining core elements like objectives, rules, and resources. The document provides an overview of different genres and explains how genres can be combined.
Digital games have evolved significantly from their early origins in arcades and home consoles. What began as games focused on high scores and short sessions in arcades transformed to include longer home console games with save features. Later, casual games on PCs popularized relaxed puzzle-style games. The mobile era saw another shift to touchscreen games optimized for short sessions. Free-to-play games now dominate mobile, using behavioral data to craft addictive feedback loops that entice paying "whales" to subsidize games for all players. Today, gaming encompasses everyone through ubiquitous mobile access.
The document provides an overview of the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). It describes the open world map which includes various terrains, structures, and vehicles. It also discusses the first-person shooter gameplay where 100 players battle to be the last surviving player. Players can customize their avatars and loot weapons, armor, and supplies to aid their survival. The goal is to kill other players while avoiding the poisonous blue zone that slowly closes in on the map. PUBG utilizes the Unreal Engine 4 and aims for photorealistic graphics to create an immersive battle royale experience.
This document outlines the design of the game Destination Rush. It includes sections on the design history and iteration process, game overview including concept and target audience, gameplay and mechanics such as objectives and drag-and-drop movement, and planned playtesting. The game involves quickly and accurately transporting passengers to matching destinations on planes to earn money while avoiding mistakes that result in losses. Mystery boxes and upgrades add variety. The game was iterated based on playtesting to refine objectives, pricing, and mechanics.
Video game development is the process of creating video games, which can range from one person to a large team of developers. Mainstream games typically take several years to develop with teams of 20-100 people working in roles like designer, artist, programmer, tester, and producer. Indie and mobile games can be developed more quickly and cheaply by individuals or small teams. The size and complexity of development teams has increased over time due to advancing technology and rising costs of games.
The game Super Mary, Yo Brother is a platformer where the player controls Mary-O to rescue a prince who has been kidnapped by an evil crocodile. The levels involve navigating platforms and avoiding enemies like Cooper Troops, who can kill the player with touch or gunfire. If the player reaches the end of the level and makes it through all the challenges without dying, they will progress to the next level and ultimately rescue the prince, learning why he was kidnapped and why the crocodile is evil along the way. The game takes place across varied levels in the Mushroom Queendom, featuring colorful graphics in a cartoon style. The player uses keyboard controls to move Mary-O and jump on enemies or obstacles
The document summarizes information about the field of game design. It discusses what game designers do, such as making creative decisions. It also outlines the pros and cons of the profession, including dream fulfillment but also worrying about budgets. Finally, it provides tips for becoming a game designer, such as having good communication skills and a critical eye for games.

The document discusses the differences between pre-production and production phases of game development. It outlines seven myths about game development practices and provides counterpoints to each myth. The key points made are that extensive pre-production with rapid prototyping is important for defining the game design before full production. Detailed documentation and planning are less important than building playable versions to test ideas and verify fundamentals.
The film 12 Angry Men depicts a jury deliberating a murder trial where initially 11 jurors vote for a guilty verdict and one juror dissents. Through persuasive tactics and effective leadership, the dissenting juror is able to transform the opinions of the majority. He acts as a democratic leader by encouraging open discussion rather than committing to a position. Over time, as he presents alternative interpretations of evidence, more jurors begin to side with his not guilty view. His leadership contrasts with the disorganized majority and helps convince all jurors of reasonable doubt. The film demonstrates how dissent can stimulate divergent thinking and challenge unquestioned opinions of a previously steadfast majority.

UX Genova 2016 - Dalla UX alla UI: interfacce grafiche
Relazioni tra i personaggi di un videogioco
In
fine, solitamente, viene punito.
3. COMPORRE IL CAST [3]
PERSONAGGI DI SUPPORTO:
in un gioco servono soprattutto
per non far allontanare il
protagonista dall’obiettivo.
inizialmente come antagonista (magari
entrando in competizione per una stessa
risorsa nel gioco).
Fornire i comandi
Mass Effect)
5. RELAZIONI TRA I
PERSONAGGI

mascherandoli in maniera appropriata
8. I CINQUE ANELLI
Leadership: chi è in carica
10. SENTI CHI PARLA
(E COME PARLA…)
Dialetti, idiomi
linguistici e linguaggio scurrile possono rivelarsi efficaci in alcuni casi, soprattutto per
tratteggiare i comprimari.

rispetto agli altri personaggi
