This document discusses moving clients to cloud computing. It defines cloud computing as internet-based computing using remote servers for data storage and access to services from anywhere. Australians are forecast to spend $1.7 billion on cloud services by 2018. The advantages of cloud computing include always-available updated software, flexible costs, improved mobility and collaboration. The document discusses how the Australian business environment is changing in areas like the workforce, legislation and new technologies. It provides considerations for moving to the cloud like security, data location, costs and training needs. The document summarizes client feedback about cloud computing concerns and potential benefits.

Fog Computing is a paradigm that extends Cloud Computing and services to the edge of the network, similar to Cloud, Fog provides data, compute, storage, and application services to end-users.
For several years, cloud computing has been the focus of IT decision makers and corporate bean counters, but the extremely security-conscious have been hesitant to move their data and workloads into the cloud.
Now, with the underlying technology behind cloud services available for deployment inside organizations, a new model of cloud computing is gaining a foothold in business:

There's too much data growth to keep it all local, but sending data to the cloud can introduce performance, latency and access issues. Edge computing alleviates all three.

Use of cloud computing technology as an application in librariesDr. Mohd Asif Khan
Cloud computing Technology changing rapidly and is forming a layer that is touching each and every aspect of life like power grids, traffic control, medical and health care, water supply, food and energy library science is not exception to it. Information technology impacted positively on library and information system and services they provide for users. The libraries have been automated, networked and now moving towards manual libraries to paper less or virtual libraries. To gather challenges in the profession librarians are also applying different platforms in Library science filed for attaining economy in information handling. This paper overviews the basic concept of newly develop area known as cloud computing. The use of cloud computing in libraries and how cloud computing actually works is illustrated in this communication.
Deep Learning Approaches for Information Centric Network and Internet of Thingsijtsrd
Technologies are rapidly increasing with additions to them every single day. Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things IoT have become two very closely associated with future internet technologies. One provides a platform to the other for success, the benefits of which could be from computing to processing and analyzing the information to reduce latency for real time applications. However, there are a few IoT devices that do not support on device processing. An alternate solution of this is Edge Computing, where the consumers can witness a close call with the computation and services. In this work, we will be to studying and discussing the application of combining Deep Learning with IoT and Information Centric Networking. A Convolutional Neural Network CNN model, a Deep Learning model, can make the most reliable data available from the complex IoT environment. Additionally, some Deep Learning models such as Recurrent Neural Network RNN and Reinforcement Learning have also integrated with IoT, which can also collect the information from real time applications. Seamless collaboration
Understandingly, one of the hesitations that some business owners have in moving to a cloud or hosted solution is the confusion around the terminology , ‘Cloud’.
Quote on PPT : This definition of cloud computing from Wikipedia defines cloud computing an internet-based computing in which large groups of remote servers are networked to allow sharing of data-processing tasks, centralized data storage, and online access to computer services or resources. Clouds can be classified as public, private or hybrid.
In the simplest terms, cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of your computer's hard drive. The cloud is just a metaphor for the Internet.

Jodie FoxCompany: Shoes of PreyAge: 30
Online retailer Shoes of Prey has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2009, and earlier this year it partnered with department store David Jones, giving the e-commerce site a bricks-and-mortar offering. Shoes of Prey set up a booth at DJ’s flagship Sydney store, allowing customers to access Shoes of Prey’s self-designed, custom-made products while in store or design their own using tablets. This time last year, Shoes of Prey raised $3 million in funding, including investments from Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes and US venture capitalist Billy Tai. The funds are being used to expand its team from 14 to 24 and publicise the site through a new marketing campaign.
Mitchell HarperCompany: BigcommerceAge: 30
In 2003 at age 21, Mitchell Harper launched his first software business Interspire alongside business partner Eddie Machaalani. While setting up an online store for selling computer hardware, he discovered a gap in the market — there was no service to help small retailers set up an online store. Fast-forward to 2009, and Bigcommerce was created. As of March this year, Bigcommerce had secured $35 million in venture capital funding and helped 30,000 small businesses in 65 countries, and in Australia more than 4000 businesses are using Bigcommerce. The company now has a 200-strong team and is one of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms in the world.

Connectivity
Both applications operate in an online environment, meaning an internet connection must be present
Hosted can be accessed offline to allow the business to continue to operate under such circumstances however the client should have a regimented backup routine in place to ensure datafile integrity
Alternatives to loss of connectivity should be investigated eg. 4g wifi modems

What about advanced inventory? The inventory module in Reckon Accounts is used by 100’s of thousands of users?
This year we introduced automated bank feeds into our solutions, with enhancements already developed for the 2015 release.
The integrated payroll module means that everything payroll related is kept in the same place as the rest of the business’s financial information. But don’t worry – unless you provide payroll access, like other sensitive financial information – this is kept away from your employees.
And finally the reporting. Our reporting module has been designed specifically with businesses like yours in mind. We make claim that our reporting module is superior, because businesses and accounting firms of all size continually rave about our report selections, our customisations and your modifications. We take pride in our reports and this shows over and over.
