A note in the margins of a book or a scientific paper, a comment on a manuscript: we are all using annotations to add information to existing physical documents. To offer a similar experience with digital content within the EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (CDI), we developed a service that allows associating additional information to a file, in a computer-readable format, without changing the file or the data record itself. These digital annotations can thus be searched to organize, retrieve and aggregate files, datasets and documents.
Although B2NOTE is a standalone service, it has been designed to be integrated with the existing EUDAT services. In the first pilot version, B2NOTE allows to annotate files located in B2SHARE. The service is called as a “widget” within the B2SHARE User Interface. B2NOTE allows you to easily and intuitively create three types of annotations: a semantic tag coming from identified ontology repositories (only Bioportal at the moment but we are working toward integrating more vocabularies), a free-text keyword that can be used when you do not find a semantic term in particular and a free-text comment.

Jose Saldana, Luigi Iannone, Diego R. Lopez, Julian Fernandez-Navajas, Jose Ruiz-Mas, "Enhancing Throughput Efficiency via Multiplexing and Header Compression over LISP Tunnels" . In Proc. Second IEEE Workshop on Telecommunication Standards: From Research to Standards, Collocated with IEEE ICC 2013, Budapest, Hungary. ISBN 9781467357524
This article explores the possibility of using traffic optimization techniques within the context of the LISP (Locator/ Identifier Separation Protocol) framework. These techniques use Tunneling, Multiplexing and header Compression of Traffic Flows (TCMTF) in order to save bandwidth and to reduce the amount of packets per time unit. Taking into account that encapsulation is necessary in LISP, bandwidth can be drastically reduced in flows using small packets, which are typical of many real-time services. The ability of the LISP framework to manage the signaling of TCMTF options is also studied. An analytical expression of the savings, as a function of the different header sizes, is devised and used to calculate the maximum expected savings. Different services and scenarios of interest are identified, and this allows the consideration of tests with real traffic traces, showing the savings as a function of the multiplexing period, and demonstrating that the additional delays can be acceptable for real-time services.
The right architecture is key for any IT project. This is especially the case for big data projects, where there are no standard architectures which have proven their suitability over years. This session discusses the different Big Data Architectures which have evolved over time, including traditional Big Data Architecture, Streaming Analytics architecture as well as Lambda and Kappa architecture and presents the mapping of components from both Open Source as well as the Oracle stack onto these architectures.
Towards a Resource Slice Interoperability Hub for IoTHong-Linh Truong
Interoperability for IoT is a challenging problem
because it requires us to tackle (i) cross-system interoperability
issues at the IoT platform sides as well as relevant network
functions and clouds in the edge systems and data centers
and (ii) cross-layer interoperability, e.g., w.r.t. data formats,
communication protocols, data delivery mechanisms, and perfor-
mance. However, existing solutions are quite static w.r.t software
deployment and provisioning for interoperability. Many middle-
ware, services and platforms have been built and deployed as
interoperability bridges but they are not dynamically provisioned
and reconfigured for interoperability at runtime. Furthermore,
they are often not considered together with other services as a
whole in application-specific contexts. In this paper, we focus
on dynamic aspects by introducing the concept of Resource
Slice Interoperability Hub (rsiHub). Our approach leverages
existing software artifacts and services for interoperability to
create and provision dynamic resource slices, including IoT,
network functions and clouds, for addressing application-specific
interoperability requirements. We will present our key concepts,
architectures and examples toward the realization of rsiHub.

Present and future of unified, portable, and efficient data processing with A...DataWorks Summit
The world of big data involves an ever-changing field of players. Much as SQL stands as a lingua franca for declarative data analysis, Apache Beam aims to provide a portable standard for expressing robust, out-of-order data processing pipelines in a variety of languages across a variety of platforms. In a way, Apache Beam is a glue that can connect the big data ecosystem together; it enables users to "run any data processing pipeline anywhere."
This talk will briefly cover the capabilities of the Beam model for data processing and discuss its architecture, including the portability model. We’ll focus on the present state of the community and the current status of the Beam ecosystem. We’ll cover the state of the art in data processing and discuss where Beam is going next, including completion of the portability framework and the Streaming SQL. Finally, we’ll discuss areas of improvement and how anybody can join us on the path of creating the glue that interconnects the big data ecosystem.

Big Data Architectures @ JAX / BigDataCon 2016Guido Schmutz
All data accessible to all my organization - Presentation at OW2con'19, June...OW2
It is clear that all employees must have access to data wherever they are to make decisions. However, tools that allow to share data just as easily as the best collaborative tools such as a google doc or an office 365 should be used.
Open source driven by the big data ecosystem and a number of large companies have provided solutions to allow organizations to federate data systems and secure their access.
After a quick overview of existing open source solutions, and how such projects can be organized, it will be necessary to detail Dremio implementation, a unique and centralized interface on all your data. Some real feedbacks will conclude the presentation.

Existing data management approaches assume control over schema, data and data generation, which is not the case in open, de-centralised environments such as the Web. The lack of control means that there are social processes necessary to generate 'ordo ab chao' and hence a new life cycle model is necessary.
Based on our experience in Linked Data publishing and consumption over the past years, we have identify involved parties and fundamental phases, which provide for a multitude of so called Linked Data life cycles.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
