‣ Many problems relating to to the merging of data
sets, especially external with anonymised, and
especially plant-level with firm-level.
‣ Request to data providers: Make publicly
available list of membership of each data set
(perhaps with general information on whether data
is missing or available), but without any
confidential information.
‣ Researchers can use this to perform power
calculations for prospective research projects, and
to construct link externally that will make it much
easier to merge with anonymised data.
