Rachel Cox has over 15 years of experience in education and recruiting. She currently works as the College Counselor and 12th Grade Team Leader at Soulsville Charter School in Memphis, TN, where she helped achieve 100% college acceptance rates for two graduating classes and developed new curriculum. Prior to that, she held various roles in education, recruiting, and restaurant management. She holds a B.A. in Family and Consumer Sciences from Harding University and a Master's in Education from Harding Graduate School of Education.
All my previous work, as an employee and volunteer, has been based on hard work and integrity. As a founding board member of JUST Pensacola, a branch of DART (The Direct Action and Research Training) Civic & Social Organization, I worked tirelessly to engage others in the pursuit of social justice for our community. Conducted numerous interviews and wrote weekly articles for the town’s local newspaper, The Daily
Citizen. The articles gave updates on program initiatives and helped raise awareness on issues that
were important to the senior citizen demographic.
Proposed and implemented a “Van Advertising Project” that included visiting and selling advertising
space to local businesses, which ultimately raised money for the program.
Was solely responsible for budgeting, planning, and coordinating the program’s Annual Donor
Banquet.
Acted as liaison between the community and the Aging Program by frequently enlisting volunteers,
