How can I get my organization certified?
• Certification to an ISO standard is not a requirement and you can use the
standard to improve the way you work without being certified. However,
third-party certification – when an independent certification body audits
your practices against the requirements of the standard – is a way of
signalling to your buyers, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
that you have implemented the standard properly. Therefore, a good first
step is evaluating whether certification makes sense for your
organization.
• Although certification might reassure customers that your products and
services are in line with their expectations and might in some cases be a
prerequisite to working with certain clients.
• Many organizations benefit from using the standard without seeking
certification.
• If you do opt to get certified, the first step is to implement and fulfil the
requirements of the standard. As a second step, find a certification body
as ISO does not perform certification.

It may take 2 to 3 months of time for a small size organization.
