Our journalist caught up with Meg Jamieson to find out how the past year has gone and catch up with all the
latest gossip.

Q.How has the past year been for you?

A. This past year has been mental for me. I have achieved so much and am very proud of myself but I haven’t
really had much chance to think about it because it’s been such as busy year.

Q. How have you found life in the spot light?

A. Amazing, I’m so not used to all this attention I’ve been getting although sometimes I do wish I could re-live
my old life for just a day.

Q. Do you see yourself in the same position career wise in 10 years’ time?

A. At the moment my career is going strong, I hope I can say this in 10 years, time however I cannot speak for
the future.

Q. Do you have any advice for aspiring song writers?

A. My advice would be to not write the song simply to get on the radio, write the song for the person you are
writing about. Say exactly what you would like to say to them at that moment and you will be surprised at how
many people can relate back to you.

Q. Do you think your songs have influenced anybody’s personal life?

A. I hope so, my songs are all very personal to me and I hope they inspire people. I have had a few fans come
up to me and complement me on this, which is lovely to hear.

Q.What influences you in your music?

A. Most of my songs are influence by my previous relationships and past experiences; I find it easy to write
about these because I can just write from my heart.

Q. Was being a singer always your dream?

A. Ever since I was small I can remember music being a big part in my life. It was always playing around the
house whilst I was growing up. Music was always the career option I wanted to take, weather it was playing
music instruments or singing, I loved both.

Q. Does anyone in your family play music?

A. Both my mother and sister play music, they were influences to me and we often played together in my
childhood.

Q.Are you finding it difficult to keep in touch with old friends due to your fame?

A. Sometimes it’s a little tricky but I will always find time for my true friends and family.

Q.What do you miss most about your life before the fame?

A. The thing I miss most is time spent with my family and friends, I used to spend most my time surrounded by
family and friends however now work has taken over so I don’t get to see them as much.
Q. Have you always just been interested in indie/rock music?

A. Mostly yes, although growing up In my teens I was into a range of different music but I found my feet in
indie/rock
