Jade discusses her experience making her debut album, saying at first it felt weird and surreal that it was happening to her. She talks about her big break coming after years of trying, getting a meeting that worked out after keeping her hopes low. She won't reveal any collaborations on the new album. Jade says she's casually dating but not in a serious relationship. Her Christmas was eventful, with family drama but no major issues. Filming the music video for "Here I Am" in Thailand was a dream come true for her. She plans a busy 2013 with her album release, upcoming single and tour support for Big Sean, thanking her fans and supporters.

Interview with Jade
Q. So how was it making your debut album? That feeling must have been
indescribable.
A. Well to be honest, it felt really weird at first, like it wasn‟t supposed to be me that
was there, I felt slightly out of place to be honest with you. I‟ve been writing songs for
a few years now, and all my life I‟ve just waited to get into a studio and start
recording, and the fact that it was happening all of a sudden, it just amazed me. All
of that just kept on going round and round in my head like „Is this really happening to
me of all people?‟ but yeah it‟s amazing, I love it and I honestly couldn‟t wish for
anything more :D
Q. So what was your big break? I know you‟ve been trying to make it for a few years
now but you‟ve just been let down time and time again.
A. Well I‟ve been trying to crack into he industry for a few years now, and I‟ve had
videos up on YouTube for about 4 years, and I‟ve had a few meetings but nothings
worked out for me but I never gave up which is my motto and it worked. But yeah life
went on and I finally got a meeting but I made sure I didn‟t get mine and my families
hopes up so I didn‟t really tell anyone, I only told 2 friends and that‟s it, and then
everything just fell into place like a jigsaw, it was meant to be I suppose. I‟m a firm
believer in everything happens for a reason, so I was very chuffed.
Q. So have you got any collaboration in this new and upcoming album that you can
fill us in on?
A. Yeah I‟ve collaborated with a few people, not that I‟m allowed to mention, but
yeah it‟s exciting and it was a lot of fun working with them, but you‟ll just have to wait
and see.
We tried to get it out of him but he wasn‟t giving us anything and we weren‟t getting
anywhere, so we just gave up and were going to have to be patient like everyone
else.
Q. So what‟s your current relationship status? Are you seeing someone or have
someone in mind?
A. Well you know I‟ve always fancied a bit of David Beckham, I‟ve tweeted him a few
times but I‟ve had no replies. But apart from that I‟m not actually in a relationship
with anyone, were just dating, we‟ve had a few dates but that‟s it, its early days at
the moment, let‟s just see where life takes us shall we. I don‟t want to mention it too
much as I don‟t want to jinx anything.
Q. So how was your Christmas? Did you enjoy it? Any dramas?
A. Christmas was just something else this year everyone came down to my house
which was a first; I had my mum come down and help with the cooking THANK
GOD. I dunno what I would‟ve done without her, lifesaver I tell you. We had

everyone over, my brother and sister in-law, all the nieces and nephews, so yeah
really good, nearly burnt the house down but oh well life goes on :p, and yeah what‟s
a Christmas without any drama, it‟s become a bit like a tradition now, but not this
year the only drama was coming from Eastenders.
Q. So the first song on your album is called “Here I Am” and you made the video in
Thailand that must have been awesome, what was it like?”
A. Well it was just ophenominal literllay that is all I can say, it was more beautiful
than anything I‟ve seen before. The fact that I was on the set of MY music video was
just something else, it was a dream come true, I mean ive been on the set of a few
music videos before but this was just something else, it honestly felt surreal like I
shouldn‟t have been there but I got over it and it was really enjoyable and I think your
going to like the video.
Q. So what plans have you got for the year ahead of us 2013?
A. Well I can tell you that 2013 is gonna be a big one, so watch the space people, ive
got my album coming out as you know at the end of March beginning of April, the
single Here I Am in a few weeks time, and im going to be joining Big Sean on his UK
tour which is just mindblowing aaaargh. My followers on twitter already know that im
going to be busy busy busy in the upcoming months, howevere absolutely none of
this would have been possible without my AMAZING fans and supporters, so I just
