The document describes research conducted through a questionnaire to identify the target market for a thriller movie opening. The questionnaire covered topics like enjoyment of thrillers, preferred subgenres, props, villains, favorite movies, expected music, and interests. Key results were that psychological and action subgenres were most popular, as were knives/guns as props, male villains, The Dark Knight Trilogy and The Silence of the Lambs as favorite films, nursery rhymes as expected music, and music/sound effects as the most interesting element. These results will inform the design of the thriller opening.

From my results I have a
varied range of answers.
However psychological and
action were the most popular.
Therefore when doing my

using the sub-genre of
psychological or action as this is
the most common amongst my

most popular is knives and
guns. Thus in my thriller

The most common one was
nursery rhymes. This may be
because of the psychological
nature as you wouldn’t assume
