QUESTION 7
Looking back at your preliminary task,
what do you feel you have learned in the
progression from it to the product?
RESEARCH
I completed detailed research before my production; this allowed
me to know what appeals to the audience and how to make my
product professional. This is all research I didn’t do when creating
my preliminary product.
PLANNING – PHOTO SHOOT
• I planned the photo shoot which I didn’t with my prelim, this meant that my model
represented the magazine appropriately, and I was able to plan the mise en scene
which meant it all looked realistic and professional. The quality of my shoots are
better as they look more professional, this was because they were took with correct
lighting and not just randomly placed like my prelim was.

PRODUCTION
• Use of Photoshop allowed me to produce my product. I was
able to make it look realistic and professional. The website
‘dafont’ allowed me to experiment with different fonts meaning it
didn’t look as plain with normal fonts and made it appealing to
the audience.
Using the brush tool I
was able to blend the
background of the main
image and the
magazine background.
