The author learned several skills from their preliminary project to their final product. They gained knowledge of Photoshop and how to create different media products. They also learned how to apply consumer needs and wants to their products, whereas their preliminary product was plain since they lacked this knowledge. Additionally, the author developed the ability to analyze and critique their own work to improve it, as well as evaluation skills to review what went well and what they would change for future projects.

you feel you have learnt
in the progression from
it to the full product?

4. Also, my knowledge of how to create different types of
media products has widely increased, as before I started
the project I had no knowledge of how to even use basic
photoshop tools. However, throughout the task, my
knowledge has been broadened and I can now create a
product using photoshop easily and without struggle.

5. I think this helped me to design my final product as I was
able to apply the needs and wants of the consumer to my
products, whereas I didn’t have this product knowledge
when completing my preliminary product, therefore it was
very plain and basic. I have also learnt how to analyse and
criticize my own work in order to improve it whilst I was
designing and creating my music magazine. By developing
the skills to criticize my own work I was then able to
change some of my ideas in order for the final product to
be better. My evaluation skills have also developed which
has helped me to review what I would change if I were to
do this project again, but as well as that, also what went
well with the project.
