Fariha Khan learned several new technologies while creating her final opening sequence product. She had to re-familiarize herself with Movie Plus editing software since her last use was years ago. By watching tutorials, she learned how to cut, speed up, and slow down shots. She also learned how to cut and paste parts of copyright-free soundtracks to create new sounds. For her blog, she learned to upload YouTube videos, links, and slideshows to make it more professional. She discovered new websites like a children's dress-up site to create character mockups and Prezi and Slideshare to professionally share information and presentations online.

2. MOVIE PLUS X6
Movie Plus wasn’t a new editing program for me. In year 11, I
did an ICT project where I had to make a quick little video and
I used Movie Plusx5.
As that was so long ago, when it came to editing and putting
my final opening sequence together, I didn’t know what I was
exactly doing.
From the software, I watched and read different tutorials on
how to do different thing. For example, I didn’t know how to
cut, speed up or slow down the shots so certain parts wouldn’t
be in the shot or so the shot wasn’t longer then 6 seconds. By
reading the little information box that comes up when you ask
for help, it tells you how to do it precisely to your liking.
Another thing I didn’t know how to do until I started editing
my final opening sequence was cutting and pasting parts of the
copyright free soundtrack and placing them on top of each
other to create a different sound.

3. BLOGGER
For my GCSE media course
work, I put some of my
research and planning on to
a blog so I already knew how to use the blogger website. For this
piece of coursework, I had to learn how to upload youtube videos,
links and slideshows onto my blog so it looked more professional
then just adding in “copy&paste” links.

4. PREZIE, SLIDESHARE &
OTHER WEBSITES I USED
I used different websites to create different posts on my blog.
One of my favourite websites
I used was a children’s dress-
up website to create mock up
outfits for our characters in
our opening sequence. I didn’t
know about this website until
I started this coursework but
it’s a really fun and easy way
to create different looks for
different characters.
Prezie is a website that I
didn’t know how to use before
this year. It is really straight
forward and a very simple
thing to do when wanted to
put a lot of information onto a
one publication so I used this
website a lot for different
posts in my planning and
research and in my
evaluation.
I had also never heard of
Slideshow until this year. I
found out how to use it after I
made an account. It’s a good
idea to use when wanted to
put powerpoint presentations
on a bigger publication
because it makes the whole
thing a lot more professional
and it looks much better.
