My magazine is targeted at people who are originally interested in UK Garage. To be specific, teenagers to young adults at
the ages 17- 23. It is pretty obvious who my target audience is from looking at the models in my magazine, they're all young
to show that the target audience is aimed at young people. The age of my magazine will be aimed at teenagers to young
adults from the ages 17- 23 which means that everything in the magazine will be suitable for the ages it's targeted at. The
magazine isn't gender specific therefore anyone can read it. This is because UK Garage already consists of all genders so it
is right to say that any gender is allowed to read the magazine. UK Garage consists of a mixture of different ethnicity to
represent togetherness which means that anyone can read the magazine. Therefore from my research i decided to aim my
magazine at any type of ethnicity. In terms of class my magazine is aimed at either a working class or middle class which
could relate to their income and the amount they're willing to spend money on magazines. This means that my magazine will
be targeted at a working/middle class whereby they can be able to afford the cost of it.
IDEAL READERSHIP
              PROFILE

The audience for my music magazine URBAN JUNGLE would be aimed at both male and females targeting a young
audience ranging from 17-23. My audience would be interested in music, clubbing, fashion, technology, gigs,
festivals, concerts etc. My ideal reader would often be wearing clothes from retail shops such as urban outfitters,
choice, size? and many more. They will also be attending festivals, gigs and any type of live music event. They
would either be in education/higher education or will have a part time job. In my music magazine I have used a
young model which makes it easier to target a similar age group. I also used sell lines of artists which teases the
audience to read on. There is also a button on the front cover which states “win tickets to the wireless event” this
attracts the audience as they’re persuaded to join in something that they are interested in. Furthermore the model is
in eye contact, which means that the audience will be able to engage with the magazine and maybe find themselves
influenced and reflected in the magazine.
