Social group analysis
The main social group that we used in our social group was male teenagers because it best suited
are target audience. This type of social group can be seen in films like adulthood where the
teenagers are rebellious against the norms of social class. In are opening sequence the adults
except the teenagers to be dealing drugs which is a similarity to this example which shows a
stereotypical angle. A big difference between are opening sequence and the example is that
these teenagers are actually dealing drugs but in ours there's no drug dealing going on.

scared and

knowing
what's
happening.

character in our
opening
sequence role is
to end up dead.
Though in the
example the role
of the character
is to save the day.

costumes

characters is that they both
have hoodies.
another similarity is that
both are trying to keep there
heads down so that no one
notices them by keeping to
the shadows.
A difference is that in this
example are character has a
more friendly colour that
doesn't look as threatening to
others.
Another difference is that in the
example attack the block they
are also wearing jackets and
hoodies In our opening
sequence this is not the case.
Conclusion
Are representation is stereotypical because a teenage boy in a hoodie looks like he's dealing
drugs even though he's not. This shows stereotyping because this normally would be associated
with young teenage people especially males and the character we have is male.
The representation is likely to have a positive effect because the audience realise that the young
stereotyped person actually isn't doing anything wrong and puts their minds at ease.

  • 2. Social group analysis The main social group that we used in our social group was male teenagers because it best suited are target audience. This type of social group can be seen in films like adulthood where the teenagers are rebellious against the norms of social class. In are opening sequence the adults except the teenagers to be dealing drugs which is a similarity to this example which shows a stereotypical angle. A big difference between are opening sequence and the example is that these teenagers are actually dealing drugs but in ours there's no drug dealing going on.
  • 3. Roles of characters similarities and differences Similarities Differences A similarity is that in both the character is scared and not really knowing what's happening. A difference is that the character in our opening sequence role is to end up dead. Though in the example the role of the character is to save the day.
  • 4. Similarities and differences for costumes Similarities Differences A similarity between the characters is that they both have hoodies. another similarity is that both are trying to keep there heads down so that no one notices them by keeping to the shadows. A difference is that in this example are character has a more friendly colour that doesn't look as threatening to others. Another difference is that in the example attack the block they are also wearing jackets and hoodies In our opening sequence this is not the case.
  • 5. Conclusion Are representation is stereotypical because a teenage boy in a hoodie looks like he's dealing drugs even though he's not. This shows stereotyping because this normally would be associated with young teenage people especially males and the character we have is male. The representation is likely to have a positive effect because the audience realise that the young stereotyped person actually isn't doing anything wrong and puts their minds at ease.
