This activism has led to the cessation of student encampments but also highlighted the substantial sacrifices made by students, including academic disruptions and personal risks. The primary drivers of these protests are poor university administration, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication between officials and students. This study examines the profound emotional, psychological, and professional impacts on students engaged in pro-Palestine protests, focusing on Generation Z's (Gen-Z) activism dynamics. This paper explores the significant sacrifices made by these students and even the professors supporting the pro-Palestine movement, with a focus on recent global movements. Through an in-depth analysis of printed and electronic media, the study examines the impacts of these sacrifices on the academic and personal lives of those involved. The paper highlights examples from various universities, demonstrating student activism's long-term and short-term effects, including disciplinary actions, social backlash, and career implications. The researchers also explore the broader implications of student sacrifices. The findings reveal that these sacrifices are driven by a profound commitment to justice and human rights, and are influenced by the increasing availability of information, peer interactions, and personal convictions. The study also discusses the broader implications of this activism, comparing it to historical precedents and assessing its potential to influence policy and public opinion. - 1. Magazine Title. Here is my magazine heading, PULSE, and also another well known music magazine BLENDER. My heading uses the conventions of real media products as it uses a bright eye catching colours, and a bold, large font that stands out off the page.
- 2. Costumes and Props. This image uses costumes and props similar to that of a usual music magazine. The model is wearing nice clothes that make her stand out off the background. The props I used in the shoot where, headphones, and a microphone with wire. The use of the props makes the image relevant to a music magazine.
- 3. Circle pop-outs. Many magazines use these shapes in magazines to make it look more interesting and to make certain features stand out, therefore this is in-keeping with conventions of real media products.
- 4. Music Chart This is both challenging and using conventions of real media products, because although some music magazine do include a chart, there are very few that have it on the contents page.
- 5. Contents page header At the top of my contents page I have wrote “This week” and put the date in a bar under Neath. This is a common thing in not only music magazines, but all types of magazines. It is made to stand out from the rest of the page as it is bigger than the rest of the fonts but also it compliments the rest of it.
- 6. Double page spread header The double page spread heading has to stand out from the rest of the text so the audience knows exactly what they are reading about. Mine stands out because I have used bright pink, larger and different font to the rest of the text. Most magazines use this device.
- 7. Double page spread Picture How I have laid out my double page spread is a very well known layout used in magazines. The banner up the side is where my picture didn't fit across the whole half of one page, so I used pink (one of the dominant colours to make a banner and show that it was the main story shown on the front cover of the magazine. Also I put the `writer` and `photographers` names.
