whywe showedthe kidnapperviaalongshotfacingagainstthe camerais because we wantedto
create suspense andalsoa tensionthatonlythe kidnappercouldcreate.Alsoitmakesthe kidnapper
seemmore mysteriousandscary. Italso typifiesthe waythatwe portray kidnappers.Thisscene will
be accompaniedwithveryquietmellow musicto buildtension.
3. The thirdshotis a bird’seye viewshotof the girl inarea filledwithleaves justlookingaroundin
the area. The reasonwhywe showedthe girl like thisisbecause we wantedtoemphasisthe idea
that she isvulnerable toanythinghappening.We alsomade the lightingbrightsothatitis clearto
the audience thatshe isa goodperson. The particularbitwill correlate withthe musicbecoming
louderbecause we are firstintroducedtothe girl. Thisisalsothe firsttime clearlyyoucan see the
locationwhere the thrilleropeningisset.

8. This particularshotwas inspiredfromthe JamesBondopenings.We usedideaof the main
character runningtowardthe camera.The affectI believe itgivesisthatitmakesthe actiontaking
place inthe openingmore realistic.
9. Before I startedfilmingwithmygroup,Iwatchedmanythrilleropeningsthathave beenfilmedin
the outdoors.ThrilleropeningssuchasMayday.The one thingthat I realisedaboutall of these
thrilleropeningsisthattheyhave aniconic momentthat createsthe mosttensioninthe whole
thrilleropening.We triedtocreate the exacttensioninthislastshotwiththe hair bandflitteringin
the wind.
