report which holds Company profiles, buyer personas, export marketing plan, project plan,
executive summary, and power point. In week one, students formed groups and selected three
countries and then did research on these countries and selected the top two. The countries we

Hernandez V. Mes An Unarmed Mexican Citizen From A Border...
Hernandez v. Mesa involves the shooting of an unarmed Mexican citizen from a border patrol
agent within the United States. The 5th circuit of appeals ruled in favor of the government and
now the case is in the hands of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court heard the oral arguments
of both sides on February 21st, 2017. Hernandez v. Mesa can be traced to the 5th Circuit of
Appeals using three articles. The first article, Mexican politicians urge Border Patrol agent s
extradition for trial in shooting, was completed June 10th, 2010 and was featured on
Cleveland.com. Cleveland.com is the major news source for millions of viewers per month, based
in Ohio in Ohio ( About us, 2017). The Associated Press, a non partisan news association,... Show

The second issue is whether Mesa violated the Fourth Amendment rights of Hernandez by killing
him and whether Hernandez would have qualified for those rights. The 5th Circuit of Appeals
contains mostly conservative justices with over two thirds of them appointed by Republican
Presidents (Wray, 2014). When considering this case, the 5th Circuit of Appeals ruled that Mesa
had qualified immunity and could not be sued by the teen s family (Lipkin, 2015). The court also
ruled that Hernandez did not have a voluntary connection to the United States which would grant
him the protections of the Fourth and Fifth Amendment (Barajas, 2015). Something interesting
about this case is that it was originally ruled in Hernandez s favor the first time it reached the 5th
Circuit by a panel of three judges. However, the entire 5th Circuit eventually ruled against that
decision to find in favor of the government. This case was appealed to the Supreme Court and
accepted on October 11th, 2016. Although the 5th Circuit of Appeals ruled against Hernandez, the
Supreme Court appears split. As a 4 4 court, Justice Kennedy has been the deciding vote in many
cases. The oral arguments and questions provide a window into the potential outcome of the case,
and three moments stand out. The first key moment is fifteen minutes, forty one seconds into the
oral argument. Robert Hilliard, the representative of Hernandez, argues that the jurisdiction of the
United States extends into

History Of The New Zealand Army Essay
QUESTION 3:
HOBBITON
History:
In 1998 was when it all started ,looking for the perfect area of land suitable for a village of
Hobbits, Peter Jackson found the Alexanders family farm while he was on a aerial search
suitable for what they needed with pristine rolling grasslands, like a slice of ancient England
(Wikipedia TLOTR), looked as though Hobbits had already begun excavations (Alan Lee ,set
decorator). After some negotiations were made with the Alexander family ,shortly after
construction begun in March 1999 transforming the landscape into the set for Hobbiton. The New
Zealand army also got involved bringing heavy machinery to build a 1.5 kilometer road from the
nearest highway to the construction site. Peter Jackson wrote: I knew Hobbiton needed to be
warm, comfortable and feel lived in. By letting the weeds grow through the cracks and establishing
hedges and little gardens a year before filming, we ended up with an incredibly real place, not just a
film set (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobbiton_Movie_Set).So much detail went into creating the
perfect atmosphere for the 37 Hobbit holes ,gardens and even hedges. In December 1999 filming
commenced for The Lord of the Rings and lasted for three months. The set, originally built out of
untreated timber, ply and polystyrene, was never meant to last, but only for the duration that was
needed however it became a place of interest for tourist.

Ethics In The Crucible
In the concept of modernism there are two ethical ideas: theological ethics and humanistic
ethics. Two big influences of Puritan ideology and these ethics were Martin Luther and John
Calvin. From them came the ideas of limited atonement, irresistible grace, and on the opposite
side of thought, the idea that all people were endowed with grace from God. The three works
that we read all take these ideas into account, and the result is a common theme and ethics
between the reads. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, The Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter
all reflect the concept of theological ethics, or the idea that what God says must be done
regardless of the consequence. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is a sermon by Rev.
Jonathan Edwards. In it, Reverend Edwards makes an appeal to sinners, in this case the Puritans
of Enfield, Connecticut, by preaching that God will judge them in a fearful and powerful way
unless they repent. He does this by using the idea of theological ethics to back up his sermon by
opening with a Bible verse that says, Their foot shall slide in due time. He then goes on to say that
the verse threatens the Puritan people with the vengeance of God. In other words, it is theological
ethics because he says that the verse... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

village fake visions to convict so called witches. The judges of the trial use theological ethics to
justify the hangings of the witches by using religion and God as their reason. This is similar to how

Hockey Players Research Paper
NHL Players at Olympics 2018? Would you like to see NHL players in the Olympics in 2018?
As of right now, they will not be any NHL players participating in this once in a lifetime
opportunity. The NHL, IIHF, and IOC have been having discussions on whether they will send
NHLers to the 2018 Olympics. The NHL and NHLPA have different opinions on whether they
should shut down the league for two weeks. I personally hope there will be NHL players at the
Olympics because I ve never witnessed one without. My research paper is to find out the best
resolution as to whether they should go to the Olympics or not. I will be talking about the
history of the NHL at the Olympics, opinions of players and analysts, and the pros and cons of
going to the Olympics. The NHL has been in the Olympics for a short but memorable time. In
1970, after a disagreement over the definition of amateur players, Canada withdrew from the
tournament and did not send a team to the 1972 or 1976 Winter Olympics. The International
Olympic Committee (IOC) made a decision in 1997 to allow NHL players to participate, and in
1998 NHL players attended the Olympics for the first time. Since they ve been in the Olympics,...

best players in the world compete for the chance to win a gold medal. There s the Stanley Cup
and then there s the Olympics, for the players, they can t even compare one to the other. The
Olympics is something an athlete dreams about year after year to be apart of. It s an honour, we
don t understand how much it means to represent your country at the Olympics. And so, we should
understand where the players are coming from and where the fans are coming

This research will contribute and benefit business organizations by making awareness and by
identifying problems to give some possible solutions.
1.2 Statement of the problem
Agriculture has always been the backbone of Ethiopia s economy. Yet, lifting millions of Ethiopians
out of poverty requires transformation from centuries old subsistence agriculture to dynamic,
technology driven market oriented production. This can only happen if the market itself functions
in such a way as to serve the needs of all concerned stakeholder of the market.
Ethiopian coffee marketing system is also on age old tradition. To date, coffee markets have been
characterized by high cost and high risks of transacting, forcing much of Ethiopia into global
isolation.
Coffee trading is done on the basis of auction system which backed by poor technology and
clearing and payment system which drives up the processing and marketing cost and these leads
to high consumer price this forcing coffee exporter to be powerless into global market. In addition
to his small scale farmers come to the market with little information and are at the mercy of coffee
supplier or collector in the nearest and only market they know, unable to negotiate better prices or
reduces their market risks.
Doing business in a standard and acceptable way is one of the competitive advantages in this
global market, especially for

Decriminalize Marijuana for the Good of America
Decriminalize Marijuana for the Good of America Currently, drugs remain high on the lists of
concerns of Americans and are considered one of the major problems facing our country today.
We see stories on the news about people being killed on the street every day over drugs. To many
people drugs are only an inner city problem, but in reality they affect all of us users and non users.
I believe that the negative affects we associate with drugs would be greatly reduced if the United
States adopted a policy towards the total decriminalization of marijuana. The current drug policy of
our government is obviously failing. Drug laws have created corruption, violence, increased street
crime, and disrespect for the criminal justice system.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If marijuana is legalized, many project that lung cancer will increase as the amount of marijuana
use increases (Miner 44). These are all valid arguments, but cigarette smoking is legal, a
booming business, and causes the same exact problems. There are a number of myths associated
with the use of marijuana and its effects on your body which people who are opposed to its
decriminalization repeatedly cite. One of these in that Marijuana causes brain damage. This
claim is based on a study of the rehus monkey by Dr. Robert Heath in the late 1970 s. Heath s
work was criticized for its insufficient sample size (only four monkeys), its failure to control
experimental bias, and the misidentification of normal monkey brain structure as damaged (Hager
1). Actual studies of human populations of marijuana users have shown no evidence of damage
to the brain (Hager 1). In fact, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)
conducted two studies in 1977 and they showed no evidence of brain damage in heavy users of
marijuana (Hager 1). Later that same year the AMA came out in favor of the decriminalizing of
marijuana (Hager 1). That seems to me that the AMA wouldn t do that if it thought marijuana was
damaging to the brain. Another myth is that marijuana damages the reproductive system. This is
based on the work of Dr. Gabriel Nahas, who experimented with tissue cells isolated in petri dishes.
The cells were dosed with near lethal

This is appropriate, as both of these stories are aimed at being time capsules for a dying way of
life as a means of cataloguing history. Just as Ishmael explained the art and trivialities of life as
a whaler during the mid 1800 s, Hensley informatively outlines the activities and encounters
regularly experienced by an Alaskan within an Indigenous community. These lifestyles met
severe limitations, such as designating specific and exclusive roles for community members
based on their sex (27 42 43); the importance of a cohesive community to promote surviving the
open country (19); a lack of education to enable reading or writing skills (20); and the depravity
of the people from basic medical and dental technologies available in other parts of the world, at
the time (57). Gradually, it is explained how the rest of the world slowly poured into the territories
of Alaska around the edges in the form of incoming trade shipments (65), the advancement of the
film industry (62), and the encroachment of capitalist oil drilling (3).
An informative expression of IГ±upiaq culture during the 1900 s, Hensley explains the
expectations of his own tribal circle and how the traditions of his ancestors affected their current
perspectives and ways of life. Frequently, Hensley expresses the importance of stoicism

Literary Analysis Essay of The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant
The Necklace is a morality tale written by Guy de Maupassant where he portrays the life of a
beautiful but dissatisfied girl named Mathilde who desires to live a luxurious life despite being
born into a clerk s family and marrying a clerk too. Mathilde s discontentment in life instigates her
to pretend someone rich that she is not. Moreover, it leads her to severe trouble that caused ten

which taught her a lesson and changed her dramatically over the course of the story by making her

But later in the story her discontentment caused her to terrible problem and sealed her fate. The
necklace of Madame Forestier has been lost. It is her discontent that caused her to borrow the
necklace which she lost. But it is an irony of fate that Mathilde and her husband faced 10 years
of hardship for nothing but a fake necklace which cost at most only five hundred francs. (6) For
this necklace they repaid a debt of thirty six thousand francs. (5) If Mathilde and her husband had
admitted to Madame Forestier about the truth of losing the necklace then the consequences would
have been different and they would have avoided the hardship. This relates with another morality
of the story which is to tell the truth. Thereafter, by learning a lesson from her doings there was a
great transformation in Mathilde s character from beginning to end of the story. After giving the
diamond necklace to Forrestier she knew they have to live a horrible (5) life of the needy. (5) .
Thus with sudden heroism (5) she decided to repay the debt taken for that necklace and dismissed
their servant, changed their lodgings and rented a garret under the roof. (5) The woman who valued
her youth and beauty the most lost it and became the woman of impoverished household strong and
hard and rough. (5) But sometimes she

Exploring The Cost Of Hydraulic Fracturing Essay
Exploring the Cost of Hydraulic Fracturing in Colorado: What are the potential effects of the Tres
Rio 2016 Oil and Gas Lease/Sale on Montezuma County s public health, ecological communities,
and economic stability?
Introduction
Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a technique often administered by oil and gas companies in
order to create fissures within subsurface shale formations. After a site is established, the initial
step entails breaking through the soil and stone via a bit placed at the end of a drill. As the drill
moves through the rock layers, it utilizes air pressure to drive fragmented rocks to the surface. The
drill ceases immediately after it comes into contact with the first indication of fresh water. Once the
drill is removed, cement is incorporated into the drilled hole in an effort to prevent contamination
of the water source and as a safety measure.
Secondary steps require a perforated gun producing high magnitude electrical currents to be
introduced down the wellbore (oil field terminology pertaining to a hole generated from oil/gas
exploration), helping drive holes into the cement and ultimately enabling a channel for gas flow.
The gun is then removed. Under high pressure, the drill pumps a solution of water, sand, and
chemicals into the established site, allowing the gas (methane) to be released and stored.
Finally, a pipeline constructed from the storage space to the consumer market supplies the gas as
an energy source. Radioactive waste water also

The Temperature of Poetry
The Temperature of Poetry
Poetry is one of the stranger parts of the literary world. A poem can be anything, from a three
lined poem known as a haiku to a giant epic poem like the The Odyssey. They can be rhyming or
non rhyming, long or short, sensible or nonsensical. Even lyrics in songs can be considered poetry,
seeing as how they are rhyming and flow so well. The parameters for a poem are wide, the
requirements few; but no matter what kind of poem you read, from Homer to Doctor Seuss to
John Mayer, symbolism is the driving force behind it all. Symbolism is the basis for almost every
piece of poetry written so far, barring some of the works of Doctor Seuss. One recurring piece of
symbolism found throughout the literary world is the use of temperature. The warmth of the sun or a
comforting smile, the cold of night or a dark hospital room, temperature plays a part in many
poems and plays its part well. But the part it plays can vary from writer to writer, poem to poem.
The three major uses of temperatures though are to show the warmth of memory versus the harsh
cold of reality, the warmth of comfort, and how warmth is used to show life and vitality while cold
is used to signify harshness and cruelty.
The first two poems to discuss are I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth and
Disabled by Wilfred Owen. These two poems are very different in their subject, but their usage of
temperature in the form of memory gives them a common denominator. Both speak of

the inventories of dealers that were running low, especially in the US (Saab, Saab Automobilesees,
2011). This shows that the company is on the way to a viable company and has the potential to
expand further in the upcoming years. However, an issue of up most importance is the dealing with
the large debt obligations that Saab has accumulated. The figure of net working capital of €
220 million illustrates the severity of the п¬Ѓnancial situation and the cost of new capital, meaning
it will be very difficult and costly for Saab to obtain further funds which are needed to
implement their strategic decisions (Spyker cars N.V., 2011) .

Collaborative Conferences
Parents play a pivotal role in the academic success of students. Therefore, it is important for
educators to provide frequent opportunities for collaboration with families so they can support
student learning at home. Additionally, regular communication with parents helps them understand
the educational programs in schoolso they can monitor studentprogress and advocate for their child
s needs. The majority of students enrolled at Chattahoochee Elementary School (CES) are English
language learners. Often these kinds of language barriers can interfere with the collaborative
process between home and school. However, CES worked diligently to ensure families remained
informed and engaged in the educational process.

Declaration Of Independence Reflects Key American Ideas
How the Declaration of Independence Reflects key American Ideas The Declaration of
Independence is one of the essential documents of the American Founding, as it articulates a set of
political principle about the purposes of the new, independent republic. It is essentially a formal
statement that describes the reason for America wanting freedom and separation from Great
Britain. It reflects key American ideas, including liberty, individualism, self rule, limited
government, equality, and the American dream. Unlike many other democracies, the U.S.
maintained and embraced these ideas throughout its past, is applying it in the present, and will
continue to follow them in the future. Liberty, which is freedom from governmental control, and

The Pros And Cons Of Corruption
process of corruption is ever threatening. And when virtue has been corrupted, a heroic leader must
appear who in rebuilding the political order infuses this virtue into the entire citizenry. Montesquieu
saw corruption as the dysfunctional process by which a good political order is perverted into evil
one and a monarchy into despotism. According to Rosseau political corruptionis a necessary
consequence of the struggle for power. Then he argued that man had been corrupted by social and
political life. It is not the corruption of man which destroyed the political system but the political
system which corrupts and destroys man.
Corruption is a kind of behavior which deviates from the norm actually prevalent or behaved to
prevail in a given context, such as the political. It is deviant behavior associated with a particular
motivation, namely that of private gain at public expense. There have been a number of different
attempts at defining corruption. However no precise definition can be found which applies to all
forms, types and degrees of corruption, or which would be acceptable universally. According to
Oxford English Dictionary (OED) the term corruption in political context is defined as Perversion
or favor, the use or existence of corrupt practices, especially in a state, public corruption.
According to the vast knowledge of corruption, it can be gladly said that corruption can be defined
as the use of public office for private advantage. This definition is both

Modern Art Research Paper
Painting today is pure intuition and luck and taking advantage of what happens when you splash
the stuff down. Francis Bacon. However when I learnt more about history of art and the way each
movement and happenings in the world inspired artist to make new works, I was able to see much
more than just a canvas with random paints and sketches. The interesting part about this concept is
that each piece of art could be interpreted in many different ways. In contemporary artthere isn t
right and wrong, each of us view and find different meanings and connections with artworks. The
beginning of 20th century was a time of drastic change. New developments were made in the
arenas of the classical sciences, social science, psychology and philosophy each challenging
traditional thought. Industrialization and the introduction of many new, challenging concepts in
the fields of politics as well as the development of new technologies gave artist more freedom to
innovate and break the rules of traditional art. By using new materials, techniques and the new
approach artists were pushing boundaries of what has previously been accepted art practice in order
to invent radically new styles. Modernism was a broad period surrounding many movements. It
covered from 1860 to 1970. This movement challenged the traditional thinking with the aim to
change the way artists represented the world. Modernism refers to this

Hemophilia
Introduction to Hemophilia
Hemophilia is term coined by Johann Schönlein is derived for Greek and Latin words that refer
to one who loves to bleed or hemorrhage (Carson DeWitt, 2014). Hemophilia is a disorder in the
body s mechanism of clotting. In simpler terms, people afflicted with hemophilia have a risk of
bleeding out from minor injuries.
Types of Hemophilia
There are three types of hemophilia (hemophilia A, hemophilia B, hemophilia C). Hemophilia A
is more common and it is caused by a deficiency of factor VIII (Carson DeWitt, 2014). This
deficiency can vary in severity. This is why each case of Hemophilia varies in each case. Most
people have severe Hemophilia which means that the factor is functioning at a hundredth of what it
should be. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hemophilia like many diseases doesn t have a cure at the moment. There are treatment plans
available. A doctor will prescribe transfusions usually. Factor replacement therapy injects the
missing factor into the system which immediately provides the missing blood clotting factor the
afflicted person is missing. These transfusions can be made from human blood or blood from an
animal. When the transfusion is from a human, the proteins extracted for the transfusion are
sterilized to prevent any blood related diseases. When the transfusion is taken from an animal,
the factor desired to be produced is injected into the animal, so it can then produce large amounts
of it. After that, the factor is extracted and it is then stabilized so it can be used in humans. The
reason why a doctor must be seen for hemophiliacs to be treated is that, hemophilia varies in
severity from case to case. This is because every person produces a different amount of the blood
clotting factor. One hemophiliac may produce 15% of what a normal person produces while
another hemophiliac may produce only 1% of what a normal person produces (HoG) . The amount
and regularity of transfusions depend on severity of

Teaching Research Methods Within The Classroom
Abstract
Psychology undergraduates are required to study research methods within their course.
Psychology undergraduates are required to study research methods within their course. Within this
are many different statistical definitions which have been considered the most challenging aspect of
the curriculum.
An individual undergraduate psychology student took part in this study. The study aimed to
increase the accuracy and fluency of the recall of these definitions by applying an intervention
phase of reading through SAFMEDS cards aloud previous to recalling them in one minute. The
SAFMEDS cards were made up of key statistical concepts taken from a study guide which is core to
the research methods module. Results indicated that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is more of a requirement now as students are being given greater opportunities within their
course due to the new resources being put into psychology departments. Part of this means that
students are now able to conduct their own research within the third year of their degree, meaning
they need a deep level of understanding for statistics in order to accumulate adequate conclusions
from their results.
Precision teaching (PT) has proved to be an effective tool when aiming to teach students material
fluently and accurately. Lindsley (1990) showed that students in precision teaching classrooms
who were told to keep records of their own academic and non academic performance and use
these records to guide their performance and eventually lead to more academic success due to the
visual representation they had. This element of precision teaching is particularly useful as
learners who improve this way are susceptible to fluency based procedures which often consist of
SAFMEDS or packs of cards similar to this. SAFMEDS are typically used to help students become
fluent in definitions and basic concepts, in this experiment they are being used to improve a base of
knowledge on research methods within psychology.

Arnie Plagiarism
Hi Everyone,
Regarding the College Paper Case Study, I have to say that Reggie and Arnie share almost the same
amount of responsibility, they were both committing plagiarisms. Furthermore, I think that Arnie
was more guilty because he was ought not just to warn Reggie about the consequences, but also he
was responsible for reporting Reggie s behavior as stated in the UoPeople Course Catalog (2017),
Students encountering suspected cases of cheating should discreetly report the violator to their
Course Instructor (p. 139).
What do I think about plagiarism? well, it is definitely a problem which is present in many
aspects of our life these days. For example, in my field of work, I have seen programmers
delivered solutions that they don t even understand or are capable of improving, simply because
what they did was just to copy and paste their code from a forum. You may argue that it is code,
and it could look really similar one to another, but the truth is that code means ideas, and those
could also be plagiarised. Sadly this is a problem which is not getting any better, especially
nowadays where people are able to copy images, music, and videos from any source through the
internet basically without any effort. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What I would do or recommend to avoid it, is this:
Always take notes of the source of every material you use for your papers in case you need to cite
and reference any of them.
Use tools like an online plagiarism checker, because you may write something you read a long
time ago and that also needs to be cited and referenced.
If you are not sure you are plagiarising, better cite and reference the material to be sure.

My Personal Favorite Chain Of Hotels
I choose to focus on Marriott International Hotels. This has always been my personal favorite
chain of hotels to stay at. Marriott is a leading hospitality company with revenues of nearly $13
billion a year, a fortune 500 company, and over 4,000 properties in 78 countries. They have a
majority of their properties in the United States and Europe, but also have properties in Africa,
Asia, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Middle East, and South America. I
will discuss this company s strategic plan, policies and procedures, vision, and more.
First off, it all began with a root beer stand. John and Alice Marriott decided to open a root beer
stand in Washington, D.C. in the summer of 1927. After this was such a success, they decided to
expand and open restaurants in 1953. Then, in 1957 they opened their first motel in Arlington, VA.
Eventually, their son Bill Marriott took over the family business and made the company one of the
world s leading hospitality companies. The Marriott offers a variety of services to their customers.
They have certain rewards programs to save you money, complimentary breakfast at some of the
hotels, great customer service. They also book events, like social events, wedding receptions,
meetings, etc.
The Marriott says they do not have a mission statement. They said they have a vision statement
instead, which is to be the #1 hospitality company in the world. They value putting people first,

Globalization And Its Effects On The Global Economy
Globalization and Its Effects On the Global Economy
In the past 100 years, the world has shifted enormously. Once, a world that only communicated
when one nation was trying to take control of another, is now connected more than ever. This
transformation began with the Industrial Revolution in a period from around 1760 to 1840.
Thinking back to that time, we can easily think of noticeable differences between how the world
was and how it is today. The United States was a small, developing country, still trying to
overcome the effects of a costly revolution. Across the ocean, once the United States major rival,
Great Britain, was still the greatest power in the world. And around the world, China and Japan
were nowhere near the economic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Their factories, however, relied on access to cheap natural resources and raw materials, which they
receive from Asia, Africa and Latin America in exchange for the finished product. Burst of
technological creativity that made this trade possible includes the screw propeller, steel hulls, and
the compound engine. Combining with those inventions was the power of steam, such as the
steamboat, steam engine and steam powered train, to connect the world by making transportation
more efficient and feasible. And by transportation becoming more feasible, people were able to
transport their goods from one place to the next much faster, and in turn, made trade quicker
between nations.
Because of the innovations of the Industrial Revolution, technology progressed long after the end
of the era and the world began to metamorphose into a new global era. In this new global era our
global economy has improved, because countries are able to focus solely on producing certain
products, in a method called specialization, and their economy s are now more connected than ever
through globalization. Which in turn causes stock market fluctuations in one country to affect the
economy of another country clear across the globe.
Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and
governments of different nations, a process

President Lyndon. B Johnson and the Vietnam War Essay
The conflict in Vietnam for the United States started when President Dwight D. Eisenhower went
along with the domino theory and sent in military advisors in South Vietnam to stop the communist
movement from taking place in South Vietnam. The Vietnam conflict was between the communist
s and the United States. North Vietnam was led by Ho Chi Minh, and Ho Chi Minh led the Viet
Cong, a guerilla group to help spread communism. The United States were supporters of the South
Vietnam because they wanted them to maintain their government rather than falling to the domino

What made this even more difficult was that he had not given much attention to Vietnam or to
foreign affairs in general (Moise 30). For a nation like the United States in need of a decision on the
fly, this was very troubling. Earlier President Johnson felt that Harry Truman, in 1950, had erred by
going into the Korean War without getting firm commitment of support from the congress (Moise
226). In other words it appeared to be that Johnson would be careful about getting involved in a
conflict like Vietnam. Being careful to say the least was not the case at all. There was not much
serious thought in escalating the Vietnam War until the Tonkin Gulf incident occurred. In the Gulf
of Tonkin it was reported that two American destroyers had been attacked by North Vietnamese PT
boats on August 4, 1964, (Friedman 293). Shortly after these incidents, Johnson immediately
escalated the war by ordering airstrikes on North Vietnam (Friedman 293). These events made it so
Johnson could raise United States involvement in Vietnam without congressional backing on his
decisions. Increasing involvement in the war was appealing though because after the Tonkin Gulf
incident support of military involvement in North Vietnam raised from thirty one percent approvals
to fifty percent approval (Moise 226). Although approval of the amount in favor immediately after
the Gulf of Tonkin incident rose, it was a mistake on Johnson s part... assuming that the

Inventory is important to consider for the balance sheet as it s listed after receivables since its
less liquid than receivables. This is how patient care services are provided from inventory. The
process starts when the services have been provided, notification of a bill sent to patient, then
accounts receivables grow. As a result, inventory takes longer to convert to cash than receivables
because it hasn t been used to provide services. Next, cash is the most universal way to pay for
items. Also, cash includes amounts on deposit in checking and savings accounts and cash on hand.

Essay on Zulu Religion
Zulu Religion
Religion in the broadest sense may be defined as man s attitude towards the unseen, and the earliest
forms of human thought furnish the clue from which must be traced the development of those great
systems of religion that have at different time periods been professed by certain groups of people.
The term religion must also include, not only beliefs in unseen spiritual agencies, but numerous
customs, superstitions, and myths which have usually been regarded by the people of the specific
society or community. As far as, Zulu religion goes, there are many different opinions about the

This is not descriptive of Zulu concepts which, as the study will be showing, assume a very
close and intimate relationship and association with the lineage between the departed and their
survivors (29). Even though there are doubts about Zulu traditional religion, most studies appear
to confirm the fact that belief in a sky deity is and always has been central to Zulu religious
thought. Unkulunkulu (the old, old one) is the Creator of First Cause. If a Zulu is asked about
the origin of man and the world, he will say Unkulunkulu the Zulu people believe in a power
which they call Heaven or The Lord of Heaven (Krige 282). Other researchers argue that all the
Bantu further have some conception, generally rather vague, of a supreme power. . . The Zulu
have a sky god. . . the Lord of Heaven (Shapera 262). Quite clearly the existence of a Zulu belief
in a sky deity is well established in the literature on both the Zulu people in particular and African
religions in general. The earliest period of recorded contact between Zulu and European cultures
gives some information about Zulu religious beliefs. This evidence, however, is culturally bias
because of the European stereotypes and expectations. Nathaniel Isaacs, a European trader, visited
Shaka, the Zulu king, and developed a strong friendship with him. In gratitude for assistance in a

Chorus that would come into play when the tragedy would begin unfolding. The Greco Roman
variants were almost always tragedies.
Be it Homer s Iliad or Odessey. The hero after long travails always seemed to return to nothing and
would come to grief. Achilles, Priam, Agamemnon, Oedipus, all came to grief. In the Greco Roman
tradition, it seems to be a common practice by the Bards and playwrights, to depict their heroes as
strong and upright men who fell prey to either their fates or to the whims and fancies of ... Show

Oedipus the king thought highly about himself and in his pride, thought himself above
everyone. And said to the people of the city You pray to the gods? Let me grant your prayers
(1231 Oedipus Rex). Oedipus did not see his own life for what it was or the mere mortal that he
was. He was vain in that sense, having a lot of pride in who he was and what he had done for the
city, after all he was the man who outsmarted the last plague on the city, and saved the city for the
citizens. This unfortunately went to his head, and made him arrogant.
Jacota was his wife and mother, her character has also been depicted as unwilling to see the truth.
She knew in detail about the happenings on night her husband, King Laius was killed, but made it
out that there were more than one stranger who murdered him. This remark threw Oedipus off, and
he then began searching harder for more clues to this mystery.
By this point in the story, Jacota had too much pride to admit what was happening. Later she
hung herself so she did not have to face it anymore. In a fashion, Oedipus was a blessed with a
good heart and noble intentions, but with a dark fate. He made an honest king, as a king of
Thebes, and he wanted the best for his citizens, and he wanted to rid them of the plague that
afflicted them. An example of his loyalty was that he sent Creon and he persevered to hunt the
murderer to stop the plague. Oedipus was brought up well, he was raised by

Julian Of Norwich Showings Analysis
Julian of Norwich was an anchoress, who took on the life of piety for Jesus Christ. She devoted
her life to prayer, contemplation and spiritual teaching. Julian of Norwich Showings is a
wonderful fourteenth century translation that is intensely personal and spiritual. Showings, as
she called them were visions from the Lord that were full of secrets she received while she was
deathly ill. Throughout her life, there were at least three outbreaks of bubonic plague. Dr. Chris
Elwood, in class discussion, stated the first outbreak claimed the lives of approximately forty five
percent of the city of Norwich s population. Some believe this played a major influence on her
spiritual understanding of Godand suffering and the grace that supervened. For Julian, it seems that
the mystery of God was unveiled in thoughtful review that was discovered in the Holy Spirit.
Overall, it appears that the love of God manifested itself in the human flesh of JesusChrist and
simultaneously revealed the Trinity through his suffering, according to Julian. Dale T. Irvin and
Scott W. Sunquist, in History of the World Christian Movement, Volume 1: Earliest Christianity to
1453 state, Christ also revealed the maternal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Julian of Norwich Showings is exceptionally Pauline. Julian s and Paul s eschatological concerns
are extremely Christological. In the book of Romans, Paul draws the comparison that
redemption came through the second Adam prototype, Jesus: the free gift of grace abound for
many. It appears, Julian draws the same or at least similar conclusions. Julian explains that God
revealed to her that he was good, he was a comforter and he was a help. Julian says, In this little
thing I saw three properties. The first is God made it, the second is that he loves it, the third is that

The project is designed to minimize penalty for industrial units by using automatic power factor
correction unit with the help of zig bee. Power factor is defined as the ratio of real power to
apparent power. This definition is often mathematically represented as KW/KVA, where the
numerator is the active (real) power and the denominator is the (active + reactive) or apparent
power. Reactive power is the non working power generated by the magnetic and inductive loads,
to generate magnetic flux. The increase in reactive power increases the apparent power, so the
power factor also decreases. Having low power factor, the industry needs

There Is A Pain-So Utter, By Emily Dickinson
When people experience a tragedy, the pain that is felt by those affected can feel suffocating and
unending. In Emily Dickinson s poem, There is a pain so utter , the speaker describes this type
of idea, as he or she dramatizes this dread as an abyss that swallows up everything that comes
near it. As she describes this, the speaker says that it swallows substance up (2) and that it can
drop people bone by bone (8). The speaker then states that Memory can step around across upon
it . (4, 5) This could potentially describe the idea that while the speaker could be falling into the
pit, that the person s mind could become so traumatized that it dissociates itself from its body s
harsh reality and will not be swallowed up by the emptiness. The speaker presents a short, concise
idea about this metaphor that dread and misery can manifest itself into an abyss that can destroy
everything and everyone in its path.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While the start of the poem seems like it should be in trochaic tetrameter, the speaker leaves off
the last stressed syllable. There is a pain so utter (1) contains the first seven syllables of the
trochaic tetrameter, but the second syllable of utter is unstressed. Ending the first line on an
unstressed syllable, especially when describing an immense pain, could describe the speaker giving
up on life. Giving up on fighting the fall into the pit. It could also represent uncertainty about how
much the pain is affecting the speaker that is subsequently answered in the next line. It swallows
substance up (2) is definitive. All eight syllables of the

Persuasive Essay On Healthy Lifestyle
The Healthy Lifestyle Everybody sees it everywhere. Lose 60 pounds in 6 weeks! Skinny is
what s in! Detox diet plan! It s a fair assumption to assume that the world, especially the United
States, is obsessed with being healthy. From celebrity workout programs to expensive diet
systems that make people lose weight, being fit is always what s mainly focused on in the
media, daily life, and nationwide. But with obsessions, come unhealthy actions and interests.
Most people that anyone knows is most likely upset with some aspect of themselves. Whether it
be the way they look, how they eat, or their lifestyle, obsession happens because of the nearly
impossible body types and lifestyles found on social media. On top of this, there are also
restrictions and challenges that come with eating a healthy diet that seem simply irradical to
address, and unhealthier foods are more available than ever. With these slowly arising issues,
anyone would think the nation is making it hard for themselves to be healthy. The society the
nation lives in is making it progressively harder and harder to be healthy because of the lifestyles
that are easier to achieve. While most agree that being healthy and active is a good thing, some
feel that being healthy is too much of a chore, and would rather point fun at the people who choose
to have more beneficial lifestyles. Many people in the nation contradict their wants to be in good
health by harassing others who already have healthy

Reflection Of The Film Corner In Wheat
Corner in Wheat Reflection Paper Corner in Wheat is a film created by D.W. Griffith in 1909. The
film focuses on the three divisions of the wheat market, which was rare at the time because most
films during the early twentieth century focused on people. The first division showcases the
farmers who grow the wheat. The next division portrays the Wheat King, a wealthy businessman
who controls the wheat market. The last division follows the bakery, the place that distributes the
wheat, and the consumers who purchase the bread that is made from the wheat. The filmhas a
variety of elements within the shots of the film. The depth of field is one of the elements that can
be viewed in Corner in Wheat. One of the last shots in the film is the farmersprinkling wheat on the
field. This shot shows how the camera moves from background to the front ground, which
presents deep space. The farmer is shown walking from a distance sprinkling the wheat,
eventually, as he continues walking he moves closer to the camera as he goes about his business.
The depth of the field of the farmer s field is different than the depth of field in the grain elevator.
D.W. Griffin emphasizes space with the background because of the layout which, directly extends
straight back to a door, making this shot have deep space. Moreover, the movement of the people
goes left to right. The staircase is on the left and stands near the hole where the wheat is falling into
the hole and the people are told to continue

Sexism As A Scientist Or Engineer
In the long history of sexism in science, technology, engineer and mathematics (STEM), women
have been discrimination of being unfit or not apprehensiveness enough for being a scientist or
engineer by men who have high doubtful on women or mocking women working as an engineer
that they would destroy something. Determining or judging the action of the genderin different
position and the thinking of discrimination from the superior race or gender to the lesser is what it
called sexism. Sexism is most common in science and engineer especially women is the most
affected.
In my desired job position in the world of Biotechnology, I have an inferior knowledge in my
brain about women in the lab. In the past of my experiences with my brother, I went to visit his
college called California State University, Fresno or Fresno State for short. I used my experience
in this essay because it is related to my job position and the case that I will explain henceforth in
this essay. I entered Fresno State to explore several buildings on campus. The first building I
went into is College of Science and Mathematics. As you see, I love to learn about
microorganisms, so I went to see the lab. As I peeked in the lab, I noticed something that seems
not right. I don t see any women in the lab, just men. I asked someone in the lab why is there no
women in the lab. That person told me those women is not good enough to be scientist. Did I just
hear sexism from his voice? That is when I realized I

physician specialty practice that specializes in the treatment of kidney disease and hypertension.
With contributions from the National Kidney Foundation, patients, providers and staff, Maine
Nephrology was given the opportunity to influence the direction of the practice over the next
several years. This strategic plan represents a true consensus of the stakeholders of Maine
NephrologyAssociates. In the plan you will find that Maine Nephrology will continue to serve the
public that have made Maine Nephrology Associates one of the leading private practices servicing
the renal community in southern Maine. As Maine Nephrology is broadening their scope of
practice, they are not only helping patients with end stage renal disease, but also those patients in
early stages of kidneydisease, along with those at risk for kidney disease due to hypertension and
/or diabetes. Maine Nephrology follows the vision of The National Kidney Foundation which
was established in 1950 by Ada DeBold in an effort to save the life of her young son. As a small
child, he was diagnosed with pediatric nephrosis, a disease that causes the kidney to lose protein
and in turn the body develops swelling. In the 1950 s this disease was debilitating and had more
than a ninety percent mortality rate. In an effort to find a cure, a group of clinicians and
researchers were put together to share their findings to develop

Creativity In Hip Hop
However the first music genre to be popular and based on the process of sampling was Hip Hop,
which first came to life in the 1970 s. DJ s would experiment with the manipulation of vynils
using turntables and audio mixers, creating a new revolutionary form of music. The steady gain
of interest in electronic music in the mid 1970s to early 1980 s contributed to making use of the
art of sampling. Extending from its early start in the Bronx, sampling has been a major influence
and source of creativity in Hip Hop. The genre has often been challenged by outsiders as it
supposingly lacks originality. However, sampling allows the genre to transcend boundaries others
might not be able to surpass. A few examples of sample based work are provided by

Japanese Internment Camps Dbq Essay
More than 110,000 Japanese Americans living on the west coast of the United States were forced
and placed into internment camp. Many believe that the internment camps were necessary for
national defense. Conversely, I believe that the actions taken place at time of war were unnecessary
and racist acts. Throughout this paper, I will discuss how and why the removal of the Japanese
Americans was uncalled for and harsh, while addressing the counterpoint. The first reason I believe
that the Internment camps were despotic is that for other war like situations, no actions this harsh
were taken. In paragraph two of the second article it says, War makes for harsh measures, notes the
historian Cary McWilliams, but we cannot justify the evacuation even as a war measure. No such
measure was taken against German or Italian nationals. This quote shows that the internment camps
were brutal and unnecessary, as the Germans and Italians had no such measures even close as
severe as the Japanese Americans. On no degree were the consequences fair to the Japanese
Americans as other nationals did not experience such astringent ramifications.... Show more content

In paragraph three of the second article, it says, In fact, more than 25,000 Japanese Americans
served in armed forces during World War II, and the all Japanese American 442nd combat team
inflicted more casualties and received more decorations than any other comparable army unit. This
shows that the Japanese Americans were actually defending America and fighting for the country
rather than disseminating confidential information to the enemies. Due to the help and support
given by the Japanese Americans, the Americans should have been more considerate in their
decisions made at war

struck me. Conventional, some place in the scope of 12 to more than 20 troopers struck me. There
were times when there were upwards of 30; they went to the unit in truckloads. The mercilessness
towards Rosa and interchange young women was unending especially in times when the officers
were not satisfied resulting to ambushing them. Once there was an officer who was in such a hurry
to come, to the point that he released even before he had entered me. He was outstandingly angry
and he grabbed my hand and obliged me to pet his genitals. Another trooper was sitting tight for his
turn outside the room and started striking against the divider. The man had no genuine alternative
but to leave, yet before going out, he hit my chest and pulled my hair.
Regardless, severity and shame were standard occasions in the regiment for comfort women. Not
even detainment nor scenes of wilderness fever hosed the spirit of Rosa to survive, more so to

The 5th circuit of appeals ruled in favor of the government and now the case is in the hands of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court heard the oral arguments of both sides on February 21st, 2017. Hernandez v. Mesa can be traced to the 5th Circuit of Appeals using three articles. The first article, Mexican politicians urge Border Patrol agent s extradition for trial in shooting, was completed June 10th, 2010 and was featured on Cleveland.com. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second issue is whether Mesa violated the Fourth Amendment rights of Hernandez by killing him and whether Hernandez would have qualified for those rights. The 5th Circuit of Appeals contains mostly conservative justices with over two thirds of them appointed by Republican Presidents (Wray, 2014). When considering this case, the 5th Circuit of Appeals ruled that Mesa had qualified immunity and could not be sued by the teen s family (Lipkin, 2015). The court also ruled that Hernandez did not have a voluntary connection to the United States which would grant him the protections of the Fourth and Fifth Amendment (Barajas, 2015). Something interesting about this case is that it was originally ruled in Hernandez s favor the first time it reached the 5th Circuit by a panel of three judges. However, the entire 5th Circuit eventually ruled against that decision to find in favor of the government. This case was appealed to the Supreme Court and accepted on October 11th, 2016. Although the 5th Circuit of Appeals ruled against Hernandez, the Supreme Court appears split. As a 4 4 court, Justice Kennedy has been the deciding vote in many cases. The oral arguments and questions provide a window into the potential outcome of the case, and three moments stand out. • 7. Ethics In The Crucible In the concept of modernism there are two ethical ideas: theological ethics and humanistic ethics. Two big influences of Puritan ideology and these ethics were Martin Luther and John Calvin. From them came the ideas of limited atonement, irresistible grace, and on the opposite side of thought, the idea that all people were endowed with grace from God. The three works that we read all take these ideas into account, and the result is a common theme and ethics between the reads. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, The Crucible, and The Scarlet Letter all reflect the concept of theological ethics, or the idea that what God says must be done regardless of the consequence. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God is a sermon by Rev. Jonathan Edwards. In it, Reverend Edwards makes an appeal to sinners, in this case the Puritans of Enfield, Connecticut, by preaching that God will judge them in a fearful and powerful way unless they repent. He does this by using the idea of theological ethics to back up his sermon by opening with a Bible verse that says, Their foot shall slide in due time. He then goes on to say that the verse threatens the Puritan people with the vengeance of God. In other words, it is theological ethics because he says that the verse... One of these in that Marijuana causes brain damage. This claim is based on a study of the rehus monkey by Dr. Robert Heath in the late 1970 s. In fact, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) conducted two studies in 1977 and they showed no evidence of brain damage in heavy users of marijuana (Hager 1). Later that same year the AMA came out in favor of the decriminalizing of marijuana (Hager 1). That seems to me that the AMA wouldn t do that if it thought marijuana was damaging to the brain. • 14. Exploring The Cost Of Hydraulic Fracturing Essay Exploring the Cost of Hydraulic Fracturing in Colorado: What are the potential effects of the Tres Rio 2016 Oil and Gas Lease/Sale on Montezuma County s public health, ecological communities, and economic stability? Introduction Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a technique often administered by oil and gas companies in order to create fissures within subsurface shale formations. After a site is established, the initial step entails breaking through the soil and stone via a bit placed at the end of a drill. As the drill moves through the rock layers, it utilizes air pressure to drive fragmented rocks to the surface. The drill ceases immediately after it comes into contact with the first indication of fresh water. Once the drill is removed, cement is incorporated into the drilled hole in an effort to prevent contamination of the water source and as a safety measure. Secondary steps require a perforated gun producing high magnitude electrical currents to be introduced down the wellbore (oil field terminology pertaining to a hole generated from oil/gas exploration), helping drive holes into the cement and ultimately enabling a channel for gas flow. The gun is then removed. Under high pressure, the drill pumps a solution of water, sand, and chemicals into the established site, allowing the gas (methane) to be released and stored. Finally, a pipeline constructed from the storage space to the consumer market supplies the gas as an energy source. Radioactive waste water also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. The Temperature of Poetry The Temperature of Poetry Poetry is one of the stranger parts of the literary world. A poem can be anything, from a three lined poem known as a haiku to a giant epic poem like the The Odyssey. They can be rhyming or non rhyming, long or short, sensible or nonsensical. Even lyrics in songs can be considered poetry, seeing as how they are rhyming and flow so well. The parameters for a poem are wide, the requirements few; but no matter what kind of poem you read, from Homer to Doctor Seuss to John Mayer, symbolism is the driving force behind it all. Symbolism is the basis for almost every piece of poetry written so far, barring some of the works of Doctor Seuss. One recurring piece of symbolism found throughout the literary world is the use of temperature. The warmth of the sun or a comforting smile, the cold of night or a dark hospital room, temperature plays a part in many poems and plays its part well. But the part it plays can vary from writer to writer, poem to poem. The three major uses of temperatures though are to show the warmth of memory versus the harsh cold of reality, the warmth of comfort, and how warmth is used to show life and vitality while cold is used to signify harshness and cruelty. The first two poems to discuss are I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth and Disabled by Wilfred Owen. And when virtue has been corrupted, a heroic leader must appear who in rebuilding the political order infuses this virtue into the entire citizenry. Montesquieu saw corruption as the dysfunctional process by which a good political order is perverted into evil one and a monarchy into despotism. According to Rosseau political corruptionis a necessary consequence of the struggle for power. Then he argued that man had been corrupted by social and political life. It is not the corruption of man which destroyed the political system but the political system which corrupts and destroys man. Corruption is a kind of behavior which deviates from the norm actually prevalent or behaved to prevail in a given context, such as the political. It is deviant behavior associated with a particular motivation, namely that of private gain at public expense. There have been a number of different attempts at defining corruption. Hemophilia is a disorder in the body s mechanism of clotting. In simpler terms, people afflicted with hemophilia have a risk of bleeding out from minor injuries. Types of Hemophilia There are three types of hemophilia (hemophilia A, hemophilia B, hemophilia C). Hemophilia A is more common and it is caused by a deficiency of factor VIII (Carson DeWitt, 2014). This deficiency can vary in severity. This is why each case of Hemophilia varies in each case. Most people have severe Hemophilia which means that the factor is functioning at a hundredth of what it should be. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hemophilia like many diseases doesn t have a cure at the moment. There are treatment plans available. A doctor will prescribe transfusions usually. Factor replacement therapy injects the missing factor into the system which immediately provides the missing blood clotting factor the afflicted person is missing. These transfusions can be made from human blood or blood from an animal. When the transfusion is from a human, the proteins extracted for the transfusion are sterilized to prevent any blood related diseases. When the transfusion is taken from an animal, the factor desired to be produced is injected into the animal, so it can then produce large amounts of it. After that, the factor is extracted and it is then stabilized so it can be used in humans. The reason why a doctor must be seen for hemophiliacs to be treated is that, hemophilia varies in severity from case to case. This is because every person produces a different amount of the blood clotting factor. One hemophiliac may produce 15% of what a normal person produces while another hemophiliac may produce only 1% of what a normal person produces (HoG) . In other words it appeared to be that Johnson would be careful about getting involved in a conflict like Vietnam. Being careful to say the least was not the case at all. Julian of Norwich Showings is a wonderful fourteenth century translation that is intensely personal and spiritual. Showings, as she called them were visions from the Lord that were full of secrets she received while she was deathly ill. Throughout her life, there were at least three outbreaks of bubonic plague. Dr. Chris Elwood, in class discussion, stated the first outbreak claimed the lives of approximately forty five percent of the city of Norwich s population. Some believe this played a major influence on her spiritual understanding of Godand suffering and the grace that supervened. For Julian, it seems that the mystery of God was unveiled in thoughtful review that was discovered in the Holy Spirit. Overall, it appears that the love of God manifested itself in the human flesh of JesusChrist and simultaneously revealed the Trinity through his suffering, according to Julian. Dale T. ABSTRACT The project is designed to minimize penalty for industrial units by using automatic power factor correction unit with the help of zig bee. Power factor is defined as the ratio of real power to apparent power. This definition is often mathematically represented as KW/KVA, where the numerator is the active (real) power and the denominator is the (active + reactive) or apparent power. Reactive power is the non working power generated by the magnetic and inductive loads, to generate magnetic flux. The increase in reactive power increases the apparent power, so the power factor also decreases. Having low power factor, the industry needs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. There Is A Pain-So Utter, By Emily Dickinson When people experience a tragedy, the pain that is felt by those affected can feel suffocating and unending. In Emily Dickinson s poem, There is a pain so utter , the speaker describes this type of idea, as he or she dramatizes this dread as an abyss that swallows up everything that comes near it. As she describes this, the speaker says that it swallows substance up (2) and that it can drop people bone by bone (8). The speaker then states that Memory can step around across upon it . (4, 5) This could potentially describe the idea that while the speaker could be falling into the pit, that the person s mind could become so traumatized that it dissociates itself from its body s harsh reality and will not be swallowed up by the emptiness. The speaker presents a short, concise idea about this metaphor that dread and misery can manifest itself into an abyss that can destroy everything and everyone in its path.... There is a pain so utter (1) contains the first seven syllables of the trochaic tetrameter, but the second syllable of utter is unstressed. Ending the first line on an unstressed syllable, especially when describing an immense pain, could describe the speaker giving up on life. Giving up on fighting the fall into the pit. It could also represent uncertainty about how much the pain is affecting the speaker that is subsequently answered in the next line. It swallows substance up (2) is definitive. • 47. Persuasive Essay On Healthy Lifestyle The Healthy Lifestyle Everybody sees it everywhere. Lose 60 pounds in 6 weeks! Skinny is what s in! Detox diet plan! It s a fair assumption to assume that the world, especially the United States, is obsessed with being healthy. From celebrity workout programs to expensive diet systems that make people lose weight, being fit is always what s mainly focused on in the media, daily life, and nationwide. But with obsessions, come unhealthy actions and interests. Most people that anyone knows is most likely upset with some aspect of themselves. Whether it be the way they look, how they eat, or their lifestyle, obsession happens because of the nearly impossible body types and lifestyles found on social media. On top of this, there are also restrictions and challenges that come with eating a healthy diet that seem simply irradical to address, and unhealthier foods are more available than ever. With these slowly arising issues, anyone would think the nation is making it hard for themselves to be healthy. The society the nation lives in is making it progressively harder and harder to be healthy because of the lifestyles that are easier to achieve. While most agree that being healthy and active is a good thing, some feel that being healthy is too much of a chore, and would rather point fun at the people who choose to have more beneficial lifestyles. Many people in the nation contradict their wants to be in good health by harassing others who already have healthy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Reflection Of The Film Corner In Wheat Corner in Wheat Reflection Paper Corner in Wheat is a film created by D.W. Griffith in 1909. The film focuses on the three divisions of the wheat market, which was rare at the time because most films during the early twentieth century focused on people. The first division showcases the farmers who grow the wheat. The next division portrays the Wheat King, a wealthy businessman who controls the wheat market. The last division follows the bakery, the place that distributes the wheat, and the consumers who purchase the bread that is made from the wheat. The filmhas a variety of elements within the shots of the film. The depth of field is one of the elements that can be viewed in Corner in Wheat. One of the last shots in the film is the farmersprinkling wheat on the field. This shot shows how the camera moves from background to the front ground, which presents deep space. The farmer is shown walking from a distance sprinkling the wheat, eventually, as he continues walking he moves closer to the camera as he goes about his business. The depth of the field of the farmer s field is different than the depth of field in the grain elevator. D.W. Griffin emphasizes space with the background because of the layout which, directly extends straight back to a door, making this shot have deep space. Moreover, the movement of the people goes left to right. The staircase is on the left and stands near the hole where the wheat is falling into the hole and the people are told to continue ... • 52. Japanese Internment Camps Dbq Essay More than 110,000 Japanese Americans living on the west coast of the United States were forced and placed into internment camp. Many believe that the internment camps were necessary for national defense. Conversely, I believe that the actions taken place at time of war were unnecessary and racist acts. Throughout this paper, I will discuss how and why the removal of the Japanese Americans was uncalled for and harsh, while addressing the counterpoint. The first reason I believe that the Internment camps were despotic is that for other war like situations, no actions this harsh were taken. In paragraph two of the second article it says, War makes for harsh measures, notes the historian Cary McWilliams, but we cannot justify the evacuation even as a war measure. No such measure was taken against German or Italian nationals. This quote shows that the internment camps were brutal and unnecessary, as the Germans and Italians had no such measures even close as severe as the Japanese Americans. On no degree were the consequences fair to the Japanese Americans as other nationals did not experience such astringent ramifications.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This shows that the Japanese Americans were actually defending America and fighting for the country rather than disseminating confidential information to the enemies. Due to the help and support given by the Japanese Americans, the Americans should have been more considerate in their decisions made at war ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
