QR Code or quick response code is a machine-readable code consisting of an array of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information for reading by the camera on a smartphone.
It is a recent development in the field of Computer science, used to encode information within an abstract picture.Even though it provides same level of security as the bar codes, it ensures encoding of more amount of data as compared to the traditional ways of encoding.

Implementation of 2D Optimal Barcode (QR Code) for ImagesEditor IJCATR
Quick Response (QR) Code is very useful for encoding the data in an efficient manner. Here data capacity in 2D barcode is limited according to the various types of data formats used for encoding. The data in image format uses more space. The data capacity can be increased by compressing the data using any of the data compression techniques before encoding. In this paper, we suggest a technique for data compression which in turn helps to increase the data capacity of QR Codes generated for image. Finally, results are compared with the normal QR Codes to find the efficiency of the new technique of encoding followed by compression for generating optimal QR code.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

QR code is a kind of matrix 2D (two-dimensional) barcode designed by
Denso-Wave Corporation of Japan in 1994 for automotive industry. Its
benefits are high-speed recognition, strong error-correcting capability.
It is more advanced bar coding system, barcode is machine readable
optical label that contain the information about the item which it is
attached. Qr codes work on the barcodes technology and it consist of
black square dots on white background.

4. 2.History
• The QR code system was invented in 1994 by Denso Wave.
• Its purpose was to track vehicles during manufacture; it was designed to
allow high-speed component scanning, initially used for tracking parts in
vehicle manufacturing,
• QR codes now are used in a much broader context, including both
commercial tracking applications and convenience-oriented applications
aimed at mobile-phone users.
• QR codes may be used to display text to the user, to add a vCard contact to
the user's device, to open a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI), or to
compose an e-mail or text message.
• Users can generate and print their own QR codes for others to scan and
use by visiting one of several paid and free QR code generating sites or
apps.

5. 3.Barcode Technology
Barcode is a machine readable optical label that contain the
information about the item which it is attached. Qr codes work on the
barcode technology.Barcodes originally were scanned by special optical
scanner called Barcode reader.

6. Barcodes(1-D)
• Barcode scanners are made of
3 different parts: an
illuminator, a convertor, and a
decoder.
• The illuminator shoots out a
line of light (typically red) at
the barcode.
• Light will reflect from the
barcode (from anywhere that
is not black) in the form of a
wave.
• The convertor converts the
wave into a readable form for
the device.
• Decoder reads the converted
information

7. Barcode(2-D)
QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for
a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional barcode) first designed
for the automotive industry in Japan. A barcode is a machine-readable
optical label that contains information about the item to which it is
attached. A QR code uses four standardized encoding modes (numeric,
alphanumeric, byte/binary). The QR Code system became popular
outside the automotive industry due to its fast readability and greater
storage capacity compared to standard UPC barcodes.
ce dept.
9. 4.Working
• QR code is detected by a 2-dimensional digital image sensor and then
digitally analyzed by a programmed processor.
• The processor locates the three distinctive squares at the corners of
the QR code image, using a smaller square (or multiple squares) near
the fourth corner to normalize the image for size, orientation, and
angle of viewing.
• The small dots throughout the QR code are then converted to binary
numbers and validated with an error-correcting algorithm.

13. Error correction
• Error correction basically used to when our QR code is damaged or
some time code is broken it due to external effect.
• In error correction we used Reed Solomon Error correction Algo.
• In larger QR symbols, the message is broken up into several Reed–
Solomon code blocks, code words are 8 bits long The code blocks are
then interleaved together.
• Due to error correction, it is possible to create artistic QR codes that
still scan correctly.
• Error correction capability at each of the four levels:

15. Encoding
• The format information records two things: the error correction level
and the mask pattern used for the symbol.
• Masking is used to break up patterns in the data area that might a
scanner.
• The mask patterns are defined on a grid that is repeated as necessary
to cover the whole symbol.

26. Website login
• QR codes can be used to log in into websites: a QR Code is shown on
the login page on a computer screen, and when a registered user
scans it with a verified smartphone, they will automatically be logged
in.
• Authentication is performed by the smartphone which contacts the
server. Google tested such a login method in January 2012.

29. 7.Limitations
• On a smartphone, the reader's permissions may allow use of the
camera, full Internet access, read/write contact data, GPS,
read browser history, read/write local storage, and global system
changes
• They are easily created and can be affixed over legitimate QR codes.
• Lack of familiarity of the QR code among people.
• QR code is dependability on a mobile device or smartphone.
• If consumer does not have a mobile phone then it is not beneficial.
