Caelan used PowerPoint to create evaluation slides, Publisher to create the contents page and double page spread, Word for the front cover, and Photoshop to edit pictures. Caelan found PowerPoint and Publisher easy to use but had some difficulties with formatting in Word and learning new tools in Photoshop. Caelan was surprised by how much work went into making just part of a magazine and thought completing a full magazine would require significantly more time and effort.

I am pleased with the editing of my
front cover and my double page
spread, although my contents page
isn’t as good as it possibly could be. To
improve it I would probably add a
background and more information. I
don’t think that my creativity was
really limited, as this is how I chose to
make the magazine.
