Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. The juxtaposition of the two materials creates a sense of tension and harmony, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between nature and industry.

1. How did you use
media technologies
in the construction
and research,
planning and
evaluation stages?
By Penny Wilkinson
2. Media technologies I have used
when creating and researching my
product.
– Photoshop
– Prezi
– Emaze
– Photography studio
– Cameras
– Video
– Powtoon
– Youtube
– Internet
– Slideshare
– Blogger
– Wix
– Padlet
3. Photoshop
I used Photoshop to create 3 pages of my magazine and a billboard. I am used to using
photoshop after creating a magazine in first year I used similar tools such as the lasso,
select tool, crop, text, erase, blur, paint bucket and most commonly the quick select. I
defiantly think I have improved with my choice of text on photoshop. I used da font to
select a font I wanted to use for my magazine and downloaded it to Photoshop, I
didn't’t use a wide verity of fonts last year when creating my magazine but this year I
have really tried to improve and experiment with more, I have also improved a lot with
air brushing, my model didn't need much done however, I did a bit of touching up here
and there to improve and its rally hard to tell where I have used it. I still need to work
on article layout, it is hard to present the paragraphs perfectly on photoshop however, I
tried my best to make them perfectly aliened and the same width I have even used a
drop cap this time round. To try and make the paragraphs perfect I kept using the enter
and space bar to move them apart.
4. Research Presentation
When presenting my research I used a number of different media platforms such
as: Prezi, Powtoon, Emaze, YoutTbe, Slideshare and Padlet. Padlet is new to me I
didn't use it last year and have recently discovered it, I think it is a good way to
present information like on a pin board however I am not a fan of how you can only
use on picture per paragraph its hard to present loads of information because of
this. I have also used Powtoon which is new to me and I like how it is a video at the
end of it which makes it interesting to watch and I was able to present a lot of
information on it however, I don’t like how long it takes to upload it is a bit of a
carry on as you have to uploaded it to Youtube first instead of straight to your blog
which isn't helpful it can also be really slow.
5. Photography studio
I have been in a photography studio again this year as I found they make images look
more clean cut and professional, I ended up taking more off set however as I wanted
that landscape look in the background. I included Seaburn beach which is a common
destination in the summer as he air show takes place there, I also have the Tyne bridge
in Newcastle on my billboard. With my pictures I think most of them look really good
the cover picture is my favorite as the main model is clear we can see her expression
really well the back ground is blurred making our eyes draw to the model which is what
I wanted. I took some action pictures as if they were screen shots from the movie, I
think they turned out well. However while doing audience feedback I was told it was
unclear what was going on in them, so I included a brief summery on the double page
spread explaining what is going on in them. For future reference, I want to use more I
took in the studio as I only ended up using one of them, I learned how to set up the
light rigs as well and turn up the brightness of them so it seems to be a bit of a waste. I
also think I need to improve on ones for my billboard as it took me a few attempts to
get the style right.
6. Video
I have used video in my interviews with my audience research, I think interviews
are one of the best ways to collect information along side a questionnaire. With
interviews you get a lot more detail of the speaker and they tend to say what is on
their mind more rather than ticking boxes in a questionnaire. I enjoyed recording
these interviews as it was a one on one experience I currently have 2 on my blog I
want to record more though and get more interviews on my blog to gather more
information and one on one opinions.
7. Wix
Wix was a big part in my product building, I had to create a website for my
magazine, I have never used wix before so through out building the website it was
a learning progress. I enjoyed learning how to make a website and discovering how
easy it really is. First I went around the website testing out different templates and
looking back at past students work, I used Tyne side cinema as a guideline of what
to include and went back to make sure everything was spelt correctly and all the
tabs I created worked. I learned how to create a mini slide show with the Slide
option on wix. Just like blogger I used tabs to allow readers to narrow the search
down, I already new this skill and I found them easy to use, although it is a similar
skill each tab had to be different a different layout include different information
unlike blogger where you are given a set layout.
8. To conclude I think I have improved a lot on the finishing touches of things, I have
tried to improve my work every time I get feed back on it and upload all my drafts
to blogger to see how it is better than before. I have discovered new media
platforms and tried out new software's, gaining skills like website building and
taking pictures in a photography studio with professional equipment.
