2. BE CONSTRUCTIVE
OFFER SOLUTIONS INSTEAD OF JUST IDENTIFYING PROBLEMS
We need more power!
Try increasing the
output to 1.21
gigawatts, Docktor!

3. BE SPECIFIC
INCLUDE A SPECIFIC EXAMPLE OF WHAT IS BEING RECOMMENDED
Did you say you
wanted a “normal
brain” or Abby
Normal’s brain?

4. BE SENSITIVE
AVOID NEGATIVE LANGUAGE. KEEP IT ON A POSITIVE NOTE
You have very lovely
eyes. It really makes
up for the rest of
your grotesqueness!

5. MAKE IT MEASURABLE
HOW WILL YOU KNOW WHEN THE RECOMMENDATION HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED?
But you have my
father’s eyes.
Literally!
I’m so glad the docktor
recommended that we
go out. We were made
for each other! This has
definitely been a
successful match!

6. BE BALANCED
POINT OUT STRENGTHS AS WELL AS WEAKNESSES
You did an
excellent job on
his facial
reconstruction!
But those neck
bolt things are a
bit distracting.
Ya think?

7. USING THESE 5 GUIDING PRINCIPLES WILL HELP
YOU MAKE THE BEST RECOMMENDATIONS POSSIBLE
FOR THE INSTUCTOR TO IMPLEMENT
