The significance of the title of the project comes to front with designing structure of the pressure vessel for static loading and its assessment by ANSYS , is basically a project concerned with design of different pressure vessel elements such as shell, Dish end ,operating manhole ,support leg based on standards and codes ; and evolution of shell and dish end analysed by means of ANSYS .The key feature included in the project is to check the behaviour of pressure vessel in case of fluctuating load . ENHANCEMENTS TO THE EUROPEAN PRESSURE VESSEL CODES: A FOCUS ON CONICAL COMPON...ijmech
This paper presents an analysis of conical components in pressure vessels emphasizing their significance
when utilized to transition between different diameters or slopes. It aims to propose enhancements to the
European Pressure Vessel Codes concerning conical components under internal pressure focused on
improving safety, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations. The influence of cone apex angles,
shell geometries and design pressure on cone plate thickness calculations is presented. Cylinder diameters
between 1000 and 2500 mm and cone angles between 30° and 60° are inputs used to quantify the
difference in cone thickness for a design pressure between 10 and 200 barg. The proposed method leads to
increased cone thickness compared to AD2000 up to 2.2 mm for the selected range of applications
resulting in safer pressure vessel design. Moreover, the proposed approach leads to thinner cones (up to
22 mm for studied range) resulting in significant material savings during manufacturing.
Buckling Analysis of Torispherical Head Pressure Vessel Using Finite Element ...theijes
Pressure vessels are being widely employed worldwide as means to carry, store or receive fluids. The pressure differential is dangerous and many fatal accidents have occurred in the history of their development and operation. Torispherical Heads have a dish with a fixed crown radius (CR), the size of which depends on the type of torispherical head. The transition between the cylinder and the dish is called the knuckle. The knuckle has a to roidal shape. Torispherical heads require less forming than semi-ellipsoidal heads. The aim of the research is to carry out Buckling analysis in a torispherical head pressure vessel due to applied internal pressure.The analyses characteristics are investigated by Finite Element Method software. For Buckling, a pressure vessel will be designed and then model educing Solid Edge software. Buckling analysis is carried out to determine the buckling strength.The research is aimed to analyze torispherical head pressure vessel for different internal pressures.
