This document provides tips for student organizations to effectively promote and publicize their events. It suggests talking to other students and faculty to spread awareness, choosing unique locations to post publicity materials, and using creative placement methods like door hangers, balloons, and sidewalk chalk. Organizations are encouraged to stagger their promotions over multiple days to build interest and appeal to multiple senses with visual, audio, smell, touch, and taste elements. The Student Union & Events Office can further assist with weekly event pages, campus leak pages in restrooms, monitor displays, the marquee sign, and a student organization newsletter.
