Teachers play an important role in molding students holistically and fostering independent thinking by having a teaching philosophy to inspire and encourage students. Studying the sociological foundations of education helps understand how to develop students' academic abilities and sense of human values and ethics through meaningful discussions with classmates about positive and negative teaching methods. The core values students learn from teachers will be applied in society as they grow up.
3. Teachers are mentors and play an important role in molding the students wholestically and inculcating
their independent thinking, However to do that as a teacher we must have a traching philosophy of our
own. Students always look up to their teacher and therefore , it becomes necessary for us to have thoughts
to inspire and encourage them.
Upon learning this subjects it helps me to understand more about the core values that the students
learned from me today are going to be applied and used in the society as they grow up and through the
active participation of my classmates/teachers, sharing their meaningful ideas and thoughts actively it
helps me to analyze and understand the positive and negative methods of teaching in teaching-learning
process most especially in developing students not only in academic but also develop a sense of humane
values and ethics.
