“Adversity and Syndemics Production among MSM: A Life Course Approach ”
The document discusses a study that examines how early life adversity, specifically experiences of homophobic attacks, may contribute to the development of interconnected epidemics (syndemics) among gay men that drive the AIDS epidemic. The study uses data from the Multicenter AIDS Cohort Study to test whether childhood victimization predicts later psychosocial health problems.
