The Australian Public Service is a multifaceted and ever-changing landscape which presents a multitude of leadership and management challenges.
Senior female leaders must consistently evolve to meet the growing demands of Public Sector leadership to ensure they are effective now and in the

leadership: The Australian Army’s experience
The development and implementation of effective HR
policy is a key function of leadership. It is also vital to
organisational effectiveness. This is especially true for
the Australian Army, where the workplace can literally be
a battlefield. In this case study, the Deputy Chief of the
Australian Army, Major General Rick Burr, DSC, AM, MVO,
describes how the Army’s core values have guided policy
relating to diversity and inclusion, cultural renewal and
support to wounded, injured and ill soldiers. Major General
Burr will demonstrate how values-based leadership has

substitute delegate in your place at no additional cost. Please advise us of any
