Survey paper: Social Networking and its impact on Youth, Culture, Communicati...Imesha Perera
Social Networking and its impact on Youth, Culture, Communication and Behavior
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In this survey paper, I concluded six research projects on Social Networking and its impact. The Social Networking has become increasingly popular components of our everyday lives in today’s globalized society. They provide a context where people across the world can communicate, exchange messages, share knowledge, and interact with each other seamlessly.
Not a complete work of mine. This is just a survey done by me as a fulfillment of my In course assessment. All the references had been cited.

Dangers of Social Media
The world has been evolving in a very swift rate. In just a matter of years modernization has reached countries with leading economies to even those that have limited means of communication or travelling. The last years of the 20th century and the start of the 21st century can be considered to be one of the most evolving eras of human kind. Technology and urbanization have just rocketed to the top, capitalism and profitability have become a priority over other thing and communication or travelling have become faster and easier. One of the main components responsible for all these changes is the computer and the internet, which has slowly paved ways of new online platforms like the Social Media. This innovation has replaced many different things has completely changed the lifestyle of people around the world. Businessman use social media to communicate with other personals, instead of travelling or one to one interacting with them. Online university programs have been created with the help of online video or audio calls, so students don’t need to be present in the class rooms during lectures for attending classes. This essay will talk about the negative and positive effects of social media on kids and adults, especially in the United Arab Emirates. The essay is opinioned, however to prevent bias, I have used sources from scholarly article to support my arguments about social media. The thesis statement for this essay is, Social media is very harmful for kids in UAE because kids get addicted to it easily and it can possess serious safety risks.
The computers were introduced initially in the 20th century for multiple reason, like the Enigma was used to encrypt the messages being sent by the German naval force during the World War 2. Moreover, the computer was also designed to help scientists with quick calculations and results. It is with time that new companies like the Apple and Microsoft, introduced new ways of using the computer. It was never used to be a tool of communication, however things changed further when the interned was established. Like, the computer, it was also very different to what it is today. The internet was used an alternate to phones, as the scientists tended to transfer their results to other places quickly by using it. The next stage was when smartphones were introduced and revolutionized the internet. Everything became portable, from getting information, to communication. Social Media was one of the main innovations during this time and it today, it can be considered to be one of the most influential and important inventions in human history. People of today, from kids to adults always have a phone with themselves, especially in developed and modernized countries like the United States of America, England and United Arab Emirates. Social Media is used by people in these countries in many different forms. YouTube is one of the most profitable and used component of social media today as it all.

"Social networks constitute the greatest global information platform on the Internet today. They have become an indispensable part of our daily lives as people spend more time socializing on the Internet. They have witnessed their collective fortunes rise as they become ubiquitous in our lives. The penetration of these technologies into the popular culture has been pervasive. Abstract:
Customer Wellness & Fitness reveals the major cycles and moments of joy and disappointment in strategic service outsourcing engagements. At the core of this thesis is applying the physician’s Hippocratic Oath to complex service engagements: “To Do No Harm.” Service agreements describing these engagements generally last anywhere from three years to ten years and represent hundreds of millions and at times billions of dollars of revenue over the contract period. We discover the first six months prior to contract signing and the first six months after contract signing represent a critical year. This is when the seeds are sown in the soil of the relationship for sustainable satisfaction and healthy performance or dissatisfaction and interaction illness. Developed diagnostics allow teams to understand if working together is on-track for success or will derail and wither early-on. Starting with inquiry and research for IBM clients and then observations with other enterprises and their clients value chain partners, there are observable patterns contributing to customer wellness and fitness across a constellation of enterprise activities. The good news: Most derailment factors are preventable. The bad news: Organization inertia and inappropriate incentives along with insufficient key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) whether delivered by people or platforms continue to plague strategic relationships.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

PSU 2023 Service Innovation Case - SocialMedia.pdf
1. Social Media as a Service Innovation
Social media platforms have become ubiquitous in modern society, with billions of users across the globe. Sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok allow
people to connect with friends, family, colleagues, brands, influencers, news outlets, and more. These services have fundamentally changed interpersonal communication
and how information spreads in the digital age. While social media offers many potential benefits, such as building relationships and community, it also comes with risks
and drawbacks. As these platforms continue to evolve, society is grappling with how to thoughtfully evaluate both the positives and negatives of social media. There are
reasoned arguments on both sides of this complex issue, which ultimately may have no simple solutions. This topic warrants ongoing analysis concerning the overall
impacts of social media as both an innovation and cultural phenomenon.
Benefits of Social Media
revolutionizing the way people communicate and share information online, As a service innovation, social media provides many benefits that have positively impacted
society. One major pro of social media is that it allows people to easily stay connected with friends, family, and communities across geographical distances. Platforms like
Facebook and Instagram make it simple to share life updates, photos, and messages in real-time. This helps strengthen relationships and feelings of closeness.
Another advantage to social media is that it gives a platform and voice to marginalized groups and social causes. Through hashtags and viral posts, important issues can
gain global attention and rally support. Social media also provides educational value by allowing knowledge and ideas to be rapidly spread through networks. Overall, the
connectivity and community offered by social media enhance the quality of life for many.
Downsides of Social Media
However, social media as an innovation also comes with downsides. One major con is the distracted, addictive nature of these platforms. The constant notifications and
fear of missing out can negatively impact productivity, focus, and mental health. There are also risks to privacy and security when personal data is shared online.
Additionally, social media can expose people to bullying, hate speech, misinformation, and ideological echo chambers. The highlight-reel representations on sites like
Instagram also foster feelings of inadequacy and anxiety in some users.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while social media platforms offer benefits like building connections and raising awareness, overuse and misuse of these sites can lead to individual and
societal harm. Going forward, consumers, companies, and regulators will need to thoughtfully evaluate both the pros and cons of social media as an innovation that
profoundly shapes communication. With wise use, social media can realize more of its positives while mitigating its negatives.
